I didn't take a picture, but last weekend I had the absolute best Steak Tartare in Toronto. They mix it to order, so she made it with just shallots and salt, no other crap to interfere wit the raw beef taste. I am so craving it right now.

Forgive me, but you are still misspelling it. It's bánh mì, not banh mi, according to wiki.
Japanese food is beautiful even in a plastic carton.![]()

Meatloaf sandwiches were today's special (image from google)
Simple mais convenable, as my mother would say.

The spinach on this is such an affectation.
Ehhh not really I like to put something fresh on top such as spinach to give you a little relief from the heavy meat and potatoes.
That little relief is entirely psychological in this case. You ought to learn to embrace a good indulgence. That's what this sandwich ought to be, plain old pleasure.
Adding 'something fresh' is like adding 'something guilty' to a perfectly good sin.
From a strictly culinary point of view, the spinach does nothing.
I disagree, but it really is personal preference. Me, I like it. Gives a nice extra layer.
If it were a green more substantial than spinach, or a less parsimonious portion, I might agree.
