Washington (CNN) -- Tea Party euphoria confronted reality Sunday, with Delaware Senate primary winner Christine O'Donnell backing out of scheduled talk show appearances amid talk of possible civil war among Republicans over the conservative movement.

Wow. So soon.

She's already too chicken-shit to appear on the mainstream media programs?

She was supposed to be on Face the Nation for one earlier today. Her campaign sent out cancellation notices yesterday late morning. The Bill Maher clip aired late Friday late of her witchcraft nonsense. I did hear that it had not aired previously, and Bill releasing it was the first time it was seen? Not sure if that's accurate or not.

But I did see Bill Maher say if she didn't come on his show, (jokingly) he was going to release a new clip every few days, and he has over 22 episodes / clips to release.

Her running away from mainstream media is no surprise to me really. Sarah Palin has told her to let FOX News "get her message out for her". That might work in a uber-red state like Alaska or Texass, but not sure it will work in a blue state like Delaware.

O'Donnell has bigger problems that will explode in her face the next week or two. Wait till the DOJ serves her a supeona for campaign fund fraud and abuses. Her ex-attorney has proof that she was using campaign funds to pay her rent and her bills. Felony baby Felony. Even Fox is being cautious since Rove and Charles Krauthammer have already stated that she has a one in ten chance of winning the general election. The GOP is scared and worried that these teabagger candidates will help Dems more than support the Reps. Her cancelling these sunday news shows is bogus. She can't deal with getting hit with the hard questions. It's going to be interesting.

Will the DOJ do anything? I doubt it. Won't this just fester at the FEC for several months or a year or two before they slap her on the wrist and fine her?

The inevitable conclusion of the implosion of the teabaggers may be beginning. Basing an entire movement on lies about taxes and hatred for one man who is the president makes it inevitable.

We can bet that the democrats will help push this one over the ledge in any way they can, so it will remain a talking point.

critical mass.... all of them are NUTS that get the republican nomination from the bagger movement.

and how much you guys want to bet when it comes down, the republican structure will try to blame the dems instead of owning the bad decision to allow Bachman and Palin steer their message and party.

they have already said they wont get to it until AFTER the election.

You don't know the history of the tea party movement. The original tea party group was all about reigning in government spending and decreasing government authority. It started before Obama was even elected. Once he was, though, cynical republicans saw an opportunity to hijack the movement and use it for their own purposes.

what it WAS and what it IS are apparently two different things. can we not poke each other with pins this evening? I'd rather have a buddy buddy kinda night.

what the hell do we agree on for god's sake? lets figure it out and make a thread on it ..|

I'm at a complete loss for words when I read anything about this women. For all intensive purposes, she seems to be not that far off of insane, if the Witch thing and anti jerking off part is true.

The DNC better run ads talking about her bullshit, and for the love of God, she better not be elected. I will loose complete faith in voters if she is. D:

Which of those groups do you think best describes former House Majority Leader Dick Armey's participation in the movement?

It's the Palin-Angle strategy - lob out statements and never have to explain your contradictions or record.

True, but we're talking about the Tea Party.

Well, and all the bigots who joined the moment they saw a black man running for the White House.

Colin Powell had some comments about that today; using politer words, he basically said the Tea Party needs to put out real policy material and ditch the bigots.

You claimed the movement was based on racism and lies about taxes. That is not true.

So, don't keep claiming it was formed in response to Obama being elected.

Its transformation began while it was still mixed in with and essentially a part of the Ron Paul movement. When Obama got the Dem nod, bigots of all sorts flocked in, seeing in Paul's bits of bigotry and kindred soul. They became the face of the Tea Party, sort of like barnacles become what you see on a ship's hull.

*snore*

The old Whig Party was taken over by the Republican Party. Do we still call them Whigs? No. Frankly, you're claim of their founding is dubious, but all the same, it's only about what a group or person is NOW, not was, or woulda, shoulda, coulda. A barnacle laden ship whether new or old, is still a barnacle barge, and the ship needs to be blasted of the blight.

Officially, or really?

:D:=D:

Thats a good one; It seems like her mouth is on cruise control, and her brain, is well, non existent. ;)

LOL

More like cruise lack-of-control.

The Democratic Party is out with a new ad attacking Republican Senate candidate Christine O'Donnell in Delaware. The ad ignores the odd remarks O'Donnell made in the past, which have been the focus of scrutiny since she won the Republican primary, and instead attacks her on financial issues.

"We don't know a lot about Christine O'Donnell. But here's what we do know," a narrator in the ad says. "She'll fit right in, in Washington. O'Donnell spends money she doesn't have. Hired employees she didn't pay. Stiffed businesses. Didn't pay her taxes."

Oh oh Christine...........................
