The question is not whether people are easily triggered, but whether it matters.
There is a fallacy that one's inability to deal with normal sensory stimuli is not going to ultimately matter to the greater population.
These eccentricities are not inherent in Socialism but are a product of the rarefied atmosphere encouraged by the organizers of this party and convention.
Humanity does care for the challenges faced by those with unusual sensitivities, but the train is going to be pulling out, and if it the clanking of the mechanism makes one nervous or uncomfortable, then one may not get to ride the train.
This sort of elevation of individuality becomes farcical. The complaint that sign-waving was aggravating doesn't explain why the flailing of arms with frilly fingers is not aggravating to some other. Accommodation cannot bow to ever individual's needs. It's impossible.

I have no doubt the gal sassed her, and probably condescended to her, but her tirade is far worse than some shitty little inept server blaming the customer for her own mistake. And if it is like the fast food eateries I have seen go bad, it is usually the manager's fault for not correcting employees or writing them up when they are plainly heard insulting customers, or talking about them. Once that starts, the manager has stopped being in charge.

This is the thing that I find the weirdest about so many of the vids I come across online.
No wonder modern-day comedy so often tends to be totally unfunny. How on earth can anyone even begin to compete with the absolute hilarity of stuff like that vid in the OP?

That's a bit vague. They are self-identified Socialists, and Sanders is a Socialist, but it isn't just a single party, but an ideology.
Sanders was a member of the Liberty Union Party when he first gained fame. Today, he is no longer an independent, but a member of the Democrats, running for the nomination of his party.
Sanders, a native New Yorker, is too savvy to be associated with this buffoonery. I'm sure he endorses respecting gender and similar things, but he would never allow himself to be painted into a corner with the inept. This convention looks like a Ship of Fools. They have no clue how absurd their lives have become, how extreme, how irrelevant.
Thankfully for them, the "hands-in-the-air" memes already had a different meaning and probably won't change to mean twits. The major parties will refuse:
