Yep,sure was..Just like Herald Square was named for The New York Herald,another now defunct Newspaper..

There really needs to be a holiday for everyone giving themselves props for not having a Facebook to get a free cookie or something for their heroic efforts.

I know,right..I guess it's important we know how cool they are for not ''bowing to the pressure'' to use Facebook..

Broadway was originally an old Indian trail..Yes,the Algonquin were Indian tribes native to N.Y...

I'm not sure how Broadway got it's name,but it might have been because it was such a main artery throughout NY history....Broad Way...
