At the time the painting was different than anything that was being done. It was a first, especially the smile. There’s also the mystery of who it is, and the history of theft, and the artist himself. It is also less vibrant that it was originally.

Yes, I've studied it and seen documentaries about it. I guess it's the distance we are and how much art has advanced since then.

It's kinda like trying to get excited about the invention of the wheel.

I've never gotten the fascination with the Mona Lisa. Her gaze doesn't evoke any question from my mind. She simply looks bland, emotionless, and neither beautiful nor homely, just plain.

The lack of eyelashes or insinuation of them gives her an almost ill effect, and her veiled hair has the effect of making her less feminine in a way.
