well i for one hopes that harry does not die. i just am a little upset that jk has to keep killing off characters.

oh well. i bet the last one will be very good, can't wait for july.

I know I'll be in line at midnight with all the little rugrats and their parents waiting for the book. It's funny because you HAVE to read it as soon as you get it and finish it as quickly as possible because EVERYONE is going to be talking about what finally happens and you do not want to be left out LOL! Those books are addicting!

unfortunately, chances are that Harry will die... as JK has been refused to let anyone else write Harry Potter after this.... so the best way to stop any unofficial sequels and stuff would be to kill off the main character....

I've already got my place booked at four midnight release parties with a book waiting at each... two regular books and two deluxe editions. I'll be out all night in my robes with my wand, and on top of that, I'm going to see the movie at midnight as well. The entire week will just be one big fucking party for me! I CANT FUCKING WAIT!!!!
(Though I will be reduced to utter hysterics when the book is in my hands, and I'll be inconsolable when I''m done with it. Dont expect to hear from me for a few days)

!!!SPOILER!!!! dont continue if u dont wanna know.

JK said 2 main characters die.

Predictions - Ron & Hermione get together (duh)...the two to die will be Draco & Ginny (just a hunch)...Snape ends up in Azkaban...and Harry ends up as headmaster of Hogwarts (after defeating Voldemort,of course).

What do you think?

My predictions... BEWARE, SPOILERS!!!

Harry is the last Horcrux and he and Voldemort are the ones to die, McGonnagal is a Death Eater, Ron and Hermione end up together and have a child, naming him Harry. Ginny is the one to kill Voldemort after Snape tries and is killed in the process. Peter Pettigrew dies while trying to save Harry, his debt to him that is now magically bound.

Prediction: Professor Sprout dies, and Neville becomes the Herbology teacer

too bad jk does'nt want to continue the series. would be kewl to see what happens to them after hogwarts.

*POSSIBLE SPOILER!!!*

I think the following things:

1) The last Horcruex is Harry's Scar. And the only way for Voldemort to finally die is for the Good guy and Bad Guy die.

2) Petunia has already been ruled out a squip, but not labeled anywhere a muggle - until book seven. Petunia Dursely is a Witch in hiding. It has already been reveled in Book 5 that she is in contact with witches, and that "An Witch will use Magic pretty late in life, which is rare, under desperate circumstances".

(petunia dursely, poppy prumfrey "the hogwarts nurse" and lily potter...all named after flowers...almost no family history - sisters?)

3) We already know that Harry's family will be more explored in Book 7, and i believe that Dumbledore is Harry's grandfather, from James' side. And it hasn't been offically denied that Dumbledore isn't. He has James' cape from book one, and knows things about Harry's family that no one else does.

4) Neville means Headmaster, I predict that Neville Longbottom will be the next Headmaster of Hogwarts.

Thats all I have for now. Peace out!

What could they mean by ADULTS HARDCOVER, versus the childrens?

There are many different printings of that book.

I collect Harry Potter books. I have like 10 of each one in different languages and different covers. The last book I have 13 printings... four from Canada. One is the Children's with the cartoon cover, one the adult cover with a photograph of a potions book, the cloth-covered large format one and a paperback with pencil drawings.

I've got both US covers, one with a drawing (different from the CAnadian cover) and one in a hard slip-box.

They mean by Childrens and Adult editions is this: In England, the books come out in the colorful covers with dragons and pretty pictures and they also come out with drab, very serious-looking covers, so adults aren't embarrassed to read them in public. Yeah, I have quite a few editions as well. I think four of each book, but that's the smallest part of my collection. I have upwards of $8,190 in HP merchandise.
