Okay.

I have been reviewing some of the past pages where we have these moths or delicate butterflies alight in Hot Topics and they ask for advice or drop an observation like an upper decker in a Montana's men's toilet....and then they vanish after we give them our most delicate, perfunctory, Dutch Uncle advice.

Are we too awful? Do we just drive the poor things to fly into the zapper, which is why we never hear from them again?

Or are our sagacious pronouncements so clarifying and profound that we sweep away all the obstacles and cobwebs before them and they are released into a a higher state of being?

I think a good number of them are puppet accounts, just toying with us.

That.

We're a bunch of wise guys, right? (Erm ...)

In other words, Harke has the right answer, I think. (Maybe they're off perving on other parts of the site. Christian will let us know if he sees them there.)

They'll be back if and when they feel like it.

It is and I wonder if this isn't some of it...but then again, some people seem to check in and then realize that engaging in actual back and forth conversation isn't there thing. It must be incredibly tiring to stab out messages on a phone when Twitter is so much easier and you don't really engage...you just deliver pronouncements. I love a full screen and keyboard and the time to reflect and respond using two hands.

There are a few here me thinks.

I don't talk much here but I try to get back to anyone who has communicated with me about whatever. I think it courteous if someone takes the time to show them it's appreciated.

2 cents

Have you ever stepped into someone else's pub and thought that maybe it wasn't such a good idea?

People have to be 18 to create an account here, and JUB forums are twenty three years established as of this week. Just a little perspective.

As do I. I'm fine with appearing a dupe when I reply to newbies and sometimes welcome them to JUB.

That said, a few have seemed obvious, and I have said so if I thought so.

That should be twenty years. Started up 2003.

Same. I would not be on this site if I had to do it on my phone.
