This guy, without the letter, would've been nr 1 Billboard, both on singles and albums charts with sales counted in millions. Easily. I think the letter didn't do good to his career, but it was his choice and it is his life.

Well I think to be honest perhaps some of the ambivalence about Frank Ocean is because he never actually said he is GAY. I think some people believe this coming out about his sexuality is just a publicity stunt.

I would be more supportive of Frank Ocean if he was honest and boldly said he's a black gay man proud to be gay. But Frank Ocean isn't saying that probably due to his managers, PR people and marketing department at his record label.

It is hard for me to be supportive of Frank Ocean because I think he's a hypocrite and I believe he is playing games for publicity about his sexuality.

Why did Frank Ocean bother coming out in the first place? And why can't the man just be more clear about his sexuality?

A part of me feels disappointed, it would nice for once to see a black male entertainer actually say the magic words I AM GAY.

Why is it so hard? All this smokescreens and bullshit that Frank Ocean is doing seems to me due to marketing reasons.

I wouldn't be surprised next year if he dates a woman, and of course he will have a way out by saying he never labelled himself as a homosexual.

I admire Frank Ocean for coming out but a part of me is cynical I wonder why can't he just be more clear about his sexual orientation?

Frank Ocean never said he was gay because he isn't. He said he is bisexual. Honestly, you're nit picking because you want him to be some type of crusader but he isn't. He is a bisexual man doing his thing and making music. No doubt him announcing he likes men put his name in the media, but I doubt he would add such a title to his name and being for only publicity. It isn't like he is marrying some big name star to make it big and then divorce her at his earliest possible time.

Not to mention what smokescreens? He has a boyfriend now, and he (or at least his boyfriend) has been pretty open about the relationship.
