Jim Steele - 1985.

This photo was taken in 1985 - I was a reglular at the Gay bar “RAFTERS” on Santa Monica Blvd, in West Hollywood (LA) and this guy was the bartender - during one of my ‘regular’ visits to that bar he was telling us about that photo shoot and eventually brought a copy of the magazine in for us to drool over. Shortly after that he left and moved to San Francisco.

Is he the same Jim Steele who appeared in one of Chad Douglas' videos ? I think the theme was, Chad was the sensei (teacher), and Jim was one of the karate students.

Scott Madsen was a wet dream back in those days when he posed for Soloflex. But after becoming aware that he'd become a gay icon, he made some very homophobic remarks. Years later, working for a company owned by his uncle, he was convicted of embezzlement, and sentenced to a prison term.

Thanks for the ID ... I checked Andy Fuller in the GEVI Index and that shot comes from "Shore Leave" (1982) ... I'd like to see the whole scene but there's a little preview clip to be going on with on this site ... As per the front cover, Andy gets fucked by Hal Ross ... :) ...

Thanks for that preview clip. I'd only previously seen Andy and Hal in a magazine photospread long ago, I'd never seen the actual video, either. Something to possibly look forward to in the future.
