It's always amazing that even in a totally homophobic world gay sex was "accepted" in some situations.

All these people who would never be "homos" but in a situation where they have few or no options it becomes "any port in a storm". Society that would totally condemn two men in love living together could understand how sailors, prisoners, guys in an all boys boarding school outside of London where the parents never visit and they have to live in dorms with only other guys eating, studying, sports, showers - oh oops. Sorry I think I got distracted there. :lol:

But still people who say they could never accept gays can justify the "he had no where else to turn".

And many of those sailors went home to have wives and children and live happy "straight" lives - but you wonder how many of them sometimes late at night thought back to that special buddy...
