Way too full of himself the idea was lught and fast with drones not human beings. That is a significant difference.

You don't get what I am saying. Hagel was a Senator and he can count. He KNOWS he is approved before the vote. So the idea of becoming belittled by McCain or Beauregard Graham was ridiculous to him. He mocked their questions. What I am saying is he doesn't give a fuck what McCain or Graham think. If you listen hard enough Obama has the same message for republicans in their losing battle to become 1950's America. Obama is just more nuanced, for Hagel it wasn't worth his time to bother answering aggressively to those couple of idiots. Hagel understands the game. You sir still think it is about nobility or some such nonsense.

achievement lists are like assholes ........ u know the rest

the economy sucks my friend

in my line of work i speak to clients all the time - clients who produce goods and services

today i spoke to a very large fast food client who makes affordable/relatively healthy food - perhaps u can guess

sales are not great despite the value - their costs are going up and they cannot raise their prices - this is a common story i hear

not sure what to say to u other than maybe your military bubble is blinding
 
The economy would not be any better under anyone else... the party you cheer lead for wants austerity and the only reason we are as well off as we are is because of NOT doing that.

The only real disappointment is that they are all bought and sold and no one went to jail for fucking the entire world over economically.

but don't worry Republicans think they can finally hang the sequester on Obama so it will happen and after a good dose of austerity the American people will rebel against that party more so than they have so far.

You can blame your friend Capitalism for your fast food client's problems. Perhaps they should better their product or make it more appealing so they can sell more at a higher price. If they're unable to do that, then they will go out of business like anyone else that can't provide products people want. Unless you want a government bailout for them?

As an American I have a right to voice my opinion regarding who governs our country. I don't expect anyone in Canada to listen to what I say about Canada's politics, governing, and leadership ... maybe you should return the favor.

JH may be the least qualified to judge since he is in the military. One of the pillars in the success of US defense has always been that the top man is always a civilian.

You do have a right to voice your opinion and everyone else has a right to disagree with it. I would say rareboy probably does take your advice, but since your advice was to ignore what you say about Canadian politics and not that you shouldn't talk about Canadian politics, I'd say all of the action required is on your end in this one.

Also, currently our defense system is headed up by a civilian. One of his duties is to nominate a SecDef. He has done so. I'm sure you'd be parading articles around all day about the opinions of those in uniform were they out there supporting your position. I don't think anyone's opinion is more or less valid or they possess any more or less qualifications depending on whether they are in the military or not.

Yes Jack congrats our government first elected a General and then vested the military authority in him. They held him in such high regard that they actually allowed him to choose the people he would work with in accomplishing his mission. ALL the forty two subsequent Presidents held the same ability to govern with those they saw fit and pay the consequences when they chose poorly. Only one has been obstructed from the very beginning in accomplishing even the smallest modicum of that authority by a party that realizes they are dying and irrelevant to the majority of the America people. A 51-49 majority but a majority none the less. A majority that is destined only to grow farther apart as time goes by and the obstructionist are shooed from our leadership positions.

THAT is the crux of this nomination. The party of nothing that offers nothing but NO still has nothing to give in the form of leadership except to hurt america to further themselves. If you doubt me then why are they not in session with the impending doom of sequestration?

Still all of that aside, I would imagine I understand what is required of a leader for defense and what obstacles exist in our next two decades. Hagel is uniquely qualified to lead us in the correct direction imho.

Your obstruction means little to nothing but unfortunately your parties obstruction means that things will have to occur the hard way for the next four years. I sincerely hope the republican party is completely destroyed at the end of this next four years. Americans are good people and they deserve leaders, not cowards who refuse to make tough decisions.

Both sides work for payoffs. You know that as well since the Bush admin paid Cheney's Haliburton somewhere in the range of a fucking gagillion dollars. Then provided no oversight. Of course, you wouldn't lick Obama's balls for half a million but I would be amazed if you could develop a tenth of that amount, much less donate it to something you believe in instead of hiding it in your mattress.
