It is not a reflection on you Chris. You were and are a noble knight. Thanks for educating me on what a Scotsman really has under the kilt (verrrry impressive!). I didn't realize how much I had felt for Bashful until after I saw how much I'd hurt him. But I know I've alienated and hurt you too. For that, I apologize. It's a dangerous thing to be THE FLIRT. I was intrigued and aroused by your offer, and acted on it without thought of who it might affect, (other than me). So for that, I apologize and state publicly that Chrisglass is worthy of the kingdom's respect.

One thing which always facinates me on JUB is the variations in spelling (not the typos!), e.g. "apologize" which I would spell "apologise", I noticed, in another thread a similar example: "baptize" and "baptise", then there's "neighbor" and "neighbour", "color" and "colour".
 
colour is how I used to spell it at home...now I am learning color..and neighbor and favor..but it is not natural. So I fall back on what I am used to!
 
If Bashful wants to use the spellings of the Queen's English without the American variants, he should be allowed to do so! I travel to Canada fairly often, where the "traditional" spellings are used, and I kind of like it!

I have a Canadian friend who claims that whenever he hears "O Canada" he gets an erection. On one occasion we were both visiting a 'sauna' (yes, I know you are all shocked that I should visit such a place) and I'd gone into the steamroom which was rather dark. I suddenly realised he was sitting at the other end. I started tapping out "O Canada" on the floor - he had to leave, laughing.
 
I never really cared for "The Star Spangled Banner" as the national anthem. I always thought "America the Beautiful" or "God Bless America" were much better songs...
