we cook then steam them and deep fry then in crispy batter with syrup use them in milk shakes you un zip one you eat with ice cream but what got me wondering was theres no banana juice

Ate one almost every day. For a while I could not stand them anymore!!

We do fry the little ones in batter, they are great for breakfast. We also wrap our version of tamales (pasteles) in banana leaves.

Now I miss them

Try this for a totally delicious & decadent treat .....

Fried Bacon, Banana & Cheese on Toast

1 slightly over-ripe banana, peeled & halved lengthways
2 slices bacon
cheese slices
piece of toast

Remove rind from bacon & fry in a little butter. Remove & keep warm. In same pan gently fry the sliced banana for a couple of minutes, turning once. Place bacon on top of toast, then the fried banana, then place slices of your favourite cheese on top. Place under griller for a few minutes till cheese melts, sprinkle with pepper and enjoy!
