When am I going to learn to not mix alcohol? I awoke with a colossal headache. Oooooh!

Dehydration is the main cause of "headaches" after a night of drinking especially sugary ones.

Mixing booze upsets your stomach more than your head.

These damn doctor's offices who feel they need to close on New Years!!! Why? My own situation and frustration notwithstanding, I seriously actually thought it was bad luck for a place of business to be closed on New Years, no?

Too much homemade ham salad, and homemade chicken corn chowder for dinner, bit it was soooo good. (Yes - first worl problem.)

Spending precious minutes on New Years Eve, in Princes Street, giving the antidote to a heroin overdose, only to be told to fuck off and
die, for ruining his "Gouch". Bastard, should have used a blunt needle.

WARNING: Wall of Text Alert

I am so pissed off nowadays when I drive around town because there are two "common courtesies" that are now all fucked up...and I am dangerously close to getting out of my car next time to ask them why the fuck they are ruining what was just fine for years and years....

The first one...a four way stop and right of way. Since I first started driving I thought it was common courtesy when you arrived at a four way stop at just about the same time as the other guy and they needed to turn you would wave them on so no one has to figure out who was first...

..I started noticing maybe 10 years ago that a practice that maybe only 1 in 4 of us practiced had spread to maybe 9 out of 10 people and it was nice...and then in the past two years especially...1 in 10 of these guys have turned into self appointed traffic cops. Seriously...one guy a couple days ago at a four way stop actually waved through THREE CARS from each direction AND he had cars waiting behind him...they had to be really pissed off.....

I am thinking maybe people need some kind of quickie manual on what common courtesy is...if they choose to practice it that is. Most times it is just a case now where someone clearly arrives and stops before you are even close and instead of going through they actually wait and then wave you on...like...what exactly is the point now? Could they just not realize what the point was or is it something else?

The other new development is worse though and it involves letting people sitting in driveways or other lanes merge into traffic as a courtesy. I have always let one or maybe two people in and I find almost all drivers are courteous and do the same for me but never any more than one or two at a time because it is not my job to play traffic cop and keep all of the other cars behind me stopped and maybe have to sit through another red light..and then repeat the process all over again....

...and that is what I have seen now just a handful of times but it was really bad the other day...It took me 20 minutes to get through four lights thanks to a "Good Samaritan" letting 42 cars out of a fucking driveway...over the course of THREE red lights. There is only enough room for maybe 12 cars in this one stretch so cars cut over into the El Pollo Loco parking lot to get out as beyond the light is the entrance to two major freeways...and this bitch sat there STOPPED while she waved 42 cars on...

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

I hope this new trend doesn't spread..It happened at the Catholic Church after mass a few months back but at least I could get into another lane after maybe five minutes though it seemed like an eternity....

When does courtesy begin and end? I thought it was apparent but it looks like the whole thing is starting to go south.

I'm done..|

I have definitely, and like you it's been very pronounced in the last couple of years, seen a change at 4-way stops where it now seems to have nothing at all to do with right of way and more to do with an aggressive "who takes the initiative first." Basically if you don't just nose your car out, the other people keep on going after a slight tap-stop at the stop sign, even if you were clearly there waiting at a complete stop before they got there.

So this happened:

Its snowing like crazy tonight. I just jumped out of the shower and put on only a bathrobe. I went downstairs and made a bowl of cereal. My dog then had to go to the bathroom. I decided that it would be okay to take her out really quickly and then rush back inside. She wanted to go a little further than planned. The snow and wind went all up in the robe. Not a good feeling guys and I may have flashed some neighbors across the street. Dont try this at home.

Ok..so...this shitty apartment also threw other shitty thing this opening year- a family just moved to 5th floor Im in 4th and they walked like stampede up there :dead:

this thin ceiling ...#-o
I guess that either one of them really heavy or they have kid who loves to run, jump and stomping

either way.. Im in my boiling point right now and may/might not make a scene :rb:
maybe I better tell leasing office first so they could reprimand them, consider first warning.

Be patient- me :D

I like to pride myself in not having many (any?) insecurities...but I have one that I am certain about. and it's huge. :( I realized it earlier this evening.

You shouldn't feel insecure about being such a big Madonna fan, it's part of who you are!

So far this New Year has been going good for me professionally but personally, it has been a train wreck. Thank god this snowstorm forces me to cloister up and not deal with anyone.
