The Kills is a band made up of Alison Mossheart and Jamie Hince. I don't own any of their albums, but they have some great songs, like "The Good Ones" and "What New York Used to Be". I love the feeling I get from their songs.

I think they have a new album coming out next year, which I'm excited about.

Anyone else a fan?

i absolutely love them!
i have all 3 albums, and admittedly, they all have their share of filler, but also really excellent tracks. i particularly love "wait", "no wow", "last day of magic" and "sour cherry"
(i also saw them live once... they werent particularly remarkable, so i chose to forget that evening. in their defense, the audience was a little lame, too.)

just like x-cess, i love SOME of their work. those are excellent examples he posted.

The Kills are very excited to announce that their 4th album 'Blood Pressures' will be released around the world on April 4th, and in the U.S.A. on April 5th on Domino Records.

Coachella 2011: The Kills talk less, rock more

The Kills delivered a refreshingly crusty rock 'n roll set to the Outdoor stage at Coachella on Saturday night. The duo has been around for more than a decade and seems to exist, in part, to prove that drum machines do have a soul.

Singer Alison Mosshart conjured the powerfully rugged female rock persona cultivated by a certain breed of sexy-tough frontwomen in the early '80s. Joan Jett, Kim Gordon and Chrissie Hynde all came to mind.

Standing on the monitors at times, whirling around in dizzy circles at others and flipping her long black hair like a hurricane around her face, Mosshart gathered force as the set rolled on.

Singing the repetitive refrain of the song "URA Fever," she looked almost possessed -- or at least she probably would have if we could have seen her face.

The set was also notable for its total lack of stage banter, but this minimalist approach proved powerful when toward the end Mosshart suddenly stood stock still, pushed her hair away from her face and stared with heart-breaking candor into the crowd.

That's when she launched into the somber ode to lost love, "The Last Goodbye," and as she sang she never looked away. The resulting vulnerabilty was arresting in ways it couldn't have been if she had shown her face all along.

Some emotions are better left to the imagination.

I'm usually not into "celebrity" news but was surprised by this:

Kate Moss Marries The Kills' Jamie Hince

Supermodel Kate Moss married Jamie Hince of The Kills Friday in England's Cotswolds region.

The bride wore a sleeveless dress by longtime friend John Galliano, the former Christian Dior designer who is currently on trial for spouting racist slurs and anti-Semitic remarks at a Paris cafe in late February. The floor-length slim gown had a vintage flavor with gold embellishments throughout, most noticeably near its hemline.

Hince, who along with Alison Mosshart forms the band The Kills, chose a double-breasted powder blue Yves Saint Laurent suit with fitted trousers. Moss' daughter Lila (whose father is Jefferson Hack) was also part of the wedding party. Moss and Hince met in 2007.

Naomi Campbell, Kelly Osbourne, Sadie Frost, Rhys Ifans and Topshop chief Philip Green were among the guests at the ceremony. The wedding celebration is expected to last several days.

Moss was previously engaged to British singer Pete Doherty and dated Johnny Depp for years in the 1990s.

Moss has been wearing Galliano and Christian Dior for many years, walked in many Galliano shows -- but in the midst of his dismissal from Dior -- to support him by wearing his design signals both a great loyalty, and an effort to help re-start his fashion career (he still has his own eponymous label).

It seems Moss and a lot of her supermodel friends are going to make a big effort to show how much they love Galliano. Now that he's out of rehab, he might be ready to jump back into the design fray. But first, he has to clear his reputation -- and Kate's wearing his gown is a great way to show that his famous friends are by his side.

The Kills 2012 Tour Dates, Paris Concert Film Announced

It’s been a few months since we checked in with The Kills, but Alison Mosshart and Jamie Hince have been keeping quite busy on the road in the meantime. Now the duo have revealed even more big plans for promoting their excellent new LP, Blood Pressures, in the new year. The most exciting news for those who missed out on their 2011 Stateside gigs is that the pair are ready for yet another U.S. tour. Kicking off in late January in Chicago and extending through the middle of February in New York City, the Kills will embark on the 15-date winter jaunt listed below.

If you can’t make it to one of those dates, however, there happens to be a nice consolation price awaiting you for 2012: a full-length concert film consisting of footage from their November show at L’Olympia in Paris, France. Details on when the live flick will arrive are to-be-announced, but for now we have an enticing little teaser clip from the forthcoming release. Both the video and tour itinerary are below:
