After a few days of being in the acute ward i was wheeled into a normal medical bay and for the next 3ish weeks i shared a room/cell with Colin, James and silent Peter.
As you can see i'm a talkative chap so i started chatting away with Colin, how to describe Colin, a neat dapper sweet soul of a man, forever changing in and out of clothes which never seemed to dwindle from his cupboard, i knew i recognized his face and sure enough he had been the local butcher on the street i grew up on, he looked remarkably like Mr Punch from Punch And Judy but oh what a sweet gentle soul he was, every morning he'd collect orders from myself and the racist James and pop off down to the hospital forecourt, a damn long walk, and he'd come back with newspapers, juice and bags of sweets, most times not the ones you'd ask for.
He was forever helpful even to the point of being used by James, whenever anything fell or you needed something brought within hands range he'd be there.
Have you ever met anyone as kind as Colin, tell us about them please.
