the last film you watched thread

I just saw "La La Land". I don't think that everyone would enjoy it and I would grade it a "B" and not an "A". However, I was impressed that Ryan Gosling played the piano, danced, and sang and did sufficiently well enough at all three (as well as acted) that he impressed me. Although during the movie I did not think that the story line was a strong story, by the end I was impressed in spite of it. I was glad that I saw this movie, but realize that not everyone will enjoy it as much as I did.

"The Great Wall" with Matt Damon

Even for free this movie is a waste of time. They give a writing credit, but all there is is a plot outline. The only good things I can say about this movie is there are two beautiful scenes and a couple of really cute actors.

This is what I started to think about this movie when I saw more previews and it just looked like an effects power house. Good to see you at least saw it for free.

After thinking more about "La La Land" I realized that the ending brought up the point of what if we had taken different paths in our lives or had different experiences, our lives would have been different and the ending moved me. Before the ending I thought that the movie was pleasant but perhaps bland.

The beautifully animated Kubo and the Two Strings (2016).

Went to see "Loving" last night.

When I arrived two women were playing music on their smart phones.

Then throughout the film couples were talking and giggling. ](*,)

I go to late night showings in English hoping that the commoners will still away; obviously not. I'll take a gun with me next time.
