the last film you watched thread

Snow White (on an airplane flight)

overall fun film. Didn't think the Prince was anything special, Dopey was cute.

Did you like it?

Movie is okay. I feel like it's the same as all the previous past Jurassic Park movies.

A bunch of people go to a dinosaur island. Then they get chased or killed by dinosaurs.

This is pretty much the basic plot of all the Jurassic Park movies.

And "Jurassic World Rebirth " is kind of a disappointment. I don't really like the part with the shipwreck family plot.

I think the movie would have been better if they get rid of the shipwreck family plot especially the annoying boyfriend.

This movie is so predictable and unbelievable.

You know from the start who is going to die, who is going to survive. There is no suspense.

Of course the three main leads (Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Jonathan Bailey) and the annoying family is going to survive. They have major plot armour.

But it is so unbelievable because the family has several dangerous encounters in the movie with the dinosaurs yet they are still safe especially the little girl who still survive after she encounter the T-Rex during the boat, raft escape scene.

And the boyfriend who miraculously survive during the yacht scene in the beginning when the Mosasaur overturn, capsize the family's ship/ yacht.

And then there is still ridiculous scene when the boyfriend is peeing, and the dinosaurs behind him are just fighting and killing each other. But the boyfriend remains safe.

If you watch all the Jurassic Park movies, you realise the dinosaurs don't kill family and kids which is like a major plot armour and personally I find it to be unbelievable.

And there was one part in the movie which is very unbelievable. It involves Jonathan Bailey's character Henry Loomis.

He was attacked by a flying bird dinosaur and he was climbing a mountain with a rope attached to his waist. But the rope break, and he fall from the very very high mountain but his fall is break and intercept by trees and he finally land in water or river.

Most people would have died or severely injured in that situation. But because you know,Jonathan Bailey is one of the main leads, so he has major plot armour. He miraculously survive and is fine after falling down from the very high mountain.

And the ending is also so predictable. That lone villain gets killed by the dinosaur and the three main leads and the family return home safely in a boat.

The movie is entertaining but I feel like the three main leads doesn't have much action with the dinosaurs.

Because some of the actions/dangerous encounters with the dinosaurs are given to the shipwreck family. If only they get rid of the shipwreck family plot, I think this movie will be much better.

If you like the previous Jurassic Park movies, then I guess that you will also like this one too.

I agree with everything you wrote. I saw it opening day and I was bored.

This past evening I decided to go see Jurassic World: Rebirth (2025) at the nearest theater. I knew it was going to suck, but I at least hoped it would have sucked less than the Jurassic World trilogy.

You really don't need any experience or writing skill to get a screenplay off the ground these days, huh?

Yes. Although I do like the part where Zora decided not to give the dinosaurs dna sample to the pharmaceutical company at the end of the movie. She decided to give them free to people.

Went to the cinema today to watch
"Superman" again for the 2nd time.

This movie is excellent and phenomenal. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

"Superman" has such an unique opening and ending that you don't see in other superhero movies.

David Corenswet's Superman is strong, emotional, passionate and super smart.

Rachel Brosnahan is perfectly cast as Lois Lane.

Nicholas Hoult delivers the best Lex Luthor performance ever.

The movie has great writing, relevant plot and important themes and messages.

Excited and looking forward to "Supergirl ".
