the last film you watched thread

In Memory of Eileen Brennan:

Clue, 1985 (playing Mrs. Peacock)

Murder by Death, 1976 (with a youngish Maggie Smith)

RIP July 28, 2013.

While it falls quite short, Rubber (2010) is still ambitious and provocative enough to be interesting as a type of meta-movie that just isn't made much.

A tire indulges its murderous nature.

Blue Jasmine

Cate Blanchett will most likely be nominated for Best Actress.

in the theater:
Blue Jasmine

on blu-ray:
The Sword and the Stone - by far Disney Home Video's worst hidef bluray transfer - unreal !!!

Last night I watched Enter Nowhere. Phenomenally bad acting in a film with a phenomenally good story. Scott Eastwood (Clint's son) is hot as fuck like he could be Colton Haynes brother, but certainly didn't inherit much acting talent. However, I do recommend the film because of the interesting and engaging story. Just overlook the acting.

I watched Cosmopolis with Robert Pattinson this afternoon. OMG, did that film suck! It made no sense whatsoever. I only stuck with it because of him.

A woman might be granted all the fearsome powers of a phallus. But at the end of the day she's still just a woman...

Rabid (1977).

I don't know how I disliked Cronenberg when I was a kid. Now, I love his movies.

the fact that the phallus comes out from her underarm is a stunning 'WTF' moment in screen history

my fave from him is the The Brood the creepy creatures of the id are truly hideous and scary.

Shit! I've been thinking of picking it up, now not so much! :(...

the cropping looks off, there is no film grain to speak of, there is a couple of seconds where the image looks smeary... for a Disney classic, they certainly did not do the film justice with such a shoddy transfer. If you can, give it a rent.

I watched Star Trek - Search For Spock. It was really bad - perhaps directing was not Leonard Nimoy's strength was not quite in directing.

I have the DVD so I will keep that. How utterly disappointing, I've been slowly building a nice little blu-ray Disney shelf on my wall. Apparently Cinderella has some issues too but I did not notice them until tonight. ARRGGRGHH!

I watched "Good Will Hunting" last night. I had not watched that film for about 10 years at least. It was good, the characters were strong. It did not feel dated.

A few nights ago I watched "Blind Side" - I must have watched it at least 5 times in these recent three years. I think it is the story of an underdog achieving something that allures to me. But I was distracted by Sandra Bullock's nose in the film, the tip of her nose looked different.

Kick Ass 2. Really bad film Jim Carrey is full of crap this film was no where near as violent as the first film, it was toned down along with the language. This only resembled a Kick Ass film in maybe the last 20 mins, the film didn't know what to be FFS THEY HAD A UNION J VIDEO IN IT!!!!!!

Transformers: Dark of the Moon

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2

Captain America: The First Avenger

l'homme qui voulait vivre sa vie (The Big Picture)

elle s'appelait Sarah (Sarah's Key)

Cowboys & Aliens

The Evil Dead 2 what a load of crap seriously why do people like this crap.

You mean the 1987 original with Bruce Campbell by Sam Raimi? Evil Dead 2: Dead by Dawn?

Ha! I love that crap. :luv: Probably in my top ten favorite horror movies ever. Clever effects, hilarious script, amazing camera work, comic acting, thrills, goofiness and tree-rape. Haven't seen the new 2013 thing, though, and doubt if I will.

The Company You Keep (Blu-ray)

A lot of very old veteran actors. Well written, keeps your interest. Not an action film, a thinking film.

Shia LaBeouf looking adorkable throughout doesn't hurt.
