the last film you watched thread

I wasnt a follower of Marvel meaning I dont keep track of how the franchises are related to each other but I have seen many of the movies (Thor, Guardians, Captain America, Avengers, Ant Man, The Incredible Hulk . . . IronMan (I turned off), Dr. Strange (I walked out of)

I have weird movie taste. I dont like blockbusters that other people like

But it was a billion dollars and I felt like I should see it.

Maybe don't go see movies just because everyone else if, if you already know it's not your taste?

You're not an objective observer if you go see a genre of movies that you are predisposed to be terminally bored by, and it's just a waste of time and money. I'm not an fan on the Infinity War movies - because they're not actually (here we go again, says the forum) The Infinity War as drawn in the comic books (1990, when most of the people viewing it weren't born or were 6 years old). It's actually another story, "The Infinity Gauntlet." And it was much grander than this movie, which was just a lot of fighting.
PLUS, it's completely unbelievable that Tony Stark devised a way of getting the glove with the stones in it off Thanos' hand. But that's the thing about these movies: they NEVER stay true to the comic book story. Only Wonder Woman was really well done, meaning she's true to character, her powers are the same ones in the comic books. Every time I look at Doctor Strange, I want to yell: "INCANTATION, you bozo!" Dr. Strange used spells, and he had to SAY THEM. Yet in the movie, he looks like he's gearing up with glowing Tibetan arm bracelets. Ugh. Takes the gravity out of the character. But the public? What do they know?
So, don't go see what you KNOW you don't like.

Gloria Bell with Julianne Moore. Not a box office hit; I was the only person in the salle.

It was also one of the most depressing films I have seen; I came out thanking the fates that I wasn't heterosexual.

I wasnt into Iron man but I liked other characters (Spiderman, Hulk, Avengers, Thor, etc). I didnt follow the storyline of how they were inter-related

Popular movies that I wasnt really into was E.T, Independence Day, Avatar, Transformers, Pirates of the Caribbean, recent Star Wars movies, recent Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, etc

Some of my favorite movies are The Cell and Basic Instinct . . not quite the Hollywood blockbusters

Up to this day I still haven't seen Avatar, any of the Transformers movies (although I did see Bumblebee recently and liked it), any of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, any of the Star Wars movies, or any of the Harry Potter movies. Oh, and same goes for every Fast & Furious films. Never seen any of them.

Extremely Wicked, Shockingly Evil and Vile - I already knew Ted Bundy's story from the documentary series on Netflix but this new angle about his long time girlfriend was interesting. Lily Collins and Zac Efron were great in this movie. I think it is one of Zac Efron's better performances.
