the last film you watched thread

Burning Bright

Real solid film, some subpar acting at bits but the movie actually dealt with darker themes than I expecting from a synopsis that sounds like it would be a total B-Movie. A Sister and her younger Autistic Brother are stuck in their house during a Hurricane with a Tiger. It's actually pretty tense at times, it was good.

The Platform

This one is a new one to Netflix and it's pretty bizarre, enjoyed it though. People are kept in this tower like prison, but the food is delivered to them through a pulley like system where they only get the scraps of food from the prisoners above them. Deals with some interesting moral themes and some fucked up situations. Not for people with sensitive stomachs.

Little (2019)

"A woman is transformed into her younger self at a point in her life when the pressures of adulthood become too much to bear."

A Rainy Day In New York - Once you get past that Woody Allen directed this it is a surprisingly decent movie.
Eat Pray Love - Much worse then I remembered.

Contagion - I found it slow but it was on point regarding facts. It mentioned 'social distancing' which I thought was term recently created. Gwenyth Paltrow's performance as a dying person was believable

Jumpin' Jack Flash (1986)

I saw that On Demand some years back and was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. It was really good.

Crooklyn (1994)

Exam (2009)

"Eight candidates for a highly desirable corporate job are locked together in an exam room and given a final test with just one seemingly simple question. However, it doesn't take long for confusion to ensue and tensions to unravel.
