the last film you watched thread

Now and Then (1995)

"Four 12-year-old girls grow up together during an eventful small-town summer in 1970."

Rubber Rat,
Im in Canada and the movie is still $20 (Premiere . . because it was relaesed from movie theaters sooner that it would have been)
What was the cost for you where you live?
Ive been waiting to rent it

The Invisible Man is back on video on demand, but currently $15 to rent

Birds of Prey: And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn
- currently watching it. Its good.

Its weird how they (Hollywood) always manage to find a person who fits what you think the character will look and act like

Street Trash (1987)

"A liquor store owner sells alcoholic beverages to homeless people, unaware of what the bottles actually contain: toxic brew."

Fantasy Island (in my bottom ten for worst movies of all times)

Someone else wrote: The Jeff Wadlow-directed movie is a 2 1/2-hour-long horror take on the 1970s ABC fantasy series, and it's currently rocking a 9% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes. ... And here, the film did not disappoint. Guys, Fantasy Island might just be one of the worst movies I have ever seen. - Chris Lindahl

Ghost World (2001)

"With only the plan of moving in together after high school, two unusually devious friends seek direction in life. As a mere gag, they respond to a man's newspaper ad for a date, only to find it will greatly complicate their lives."

Alien (1979) "The crew of a spacecraft, Nostromo, intercept a distress signal from a planet and set out to investigate it. However, to their horror, they are attacked by an alien which later invades their ship." - A classic and a great movie!

Aliens (1986) "Ellen Ripley is sent back to the planet LV-426 to establish contact with a terraforming colony. Once there, she encounters the Alien Queen and her offspring and has to fight them to survive." - I actually like this one more then the 1st!

Alien 3 (1992) "Ellen Ripley's escape pod crash-lands on Fiorina 161, a penal colony planet terrorised by an alien. She rallies the inmates into killing it but realises that she is carrying an alien embryo herself." - I don't mind this one. Yes its not great and was heavily edited by the studio but its still watchable.

Life (2017) "As astronauts discover the first evidence of extra-terrestrial life on Mars, they begin realising that the life form is extremely intelligent and hostile." - Better then I was expecting.

Rebel Without A Cause (1955) "After moving to a new town, troublemaking teen Jim Stark (James Dean) is supposed to have a clean slate, although being the new kid in town brings its own problems. While searching for some stability, Stark forms a bond with a disturbed classmate, Plato (Sal Mineo), and falls for local girl Judy (Natalie Wood). However, Judy is the girlfriend of neighborhood tough, Buzz (Corey Allen). When Buzz violently confronts Jim and challenges him to a drag race, the new kid's real troubles begin." - I love this movie!

Memory: The Origins Of Alien (2019) "An in depth voyage into the sci-fi film "Alien" with the visionary filmmakers who created it. See how one of the most terrifying movies of all time comes to life 40 years ago, inspired by ancient mythology and our universal fears." - I thought this was a quite good behind the scenes look at the first Alien movie.

Crawl (2019)

"A young woman, while attempting to save her father during a category 5 hurricane, finds herself trapped in a flooding house and must fight for her life against alligators."

10 Cloverfield Lane (2016)

"After getting in a car accident, a woman is held in a shelter with two men, who claim the outside world is affected by a widespread chemical attack."

Flipper (1996)

"A teenage boy sent to spend the summer with his eccentric uncle on the Florida coast befriends a remarkable dolphin - and takes on local bad guys who are polluting the water."

Sweet Home Alabama (2002). I'd seen bits and pieces of it on TV, but nothing else was on last night and I enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Cute lil' flick.

Alien: Ressurection (1997) - Definitely not my favourite Alien movie but I still enjoy bits and pieces of it.

Prometheus (2012) - I like this one.

Thelma and Louise (1991) - I will never not like this movie!

Before the Devil Knows You're Dead (2007)

"When two brothers organize the robbery of their parents' jewelry store the job goes horribly wrong, triggering a series of events that sends them, their father and one brother's wife hurtling towards a shattering climax."

Dolittle. We enjoyed it very much, it was funny and endearing. We did laugh out loud a lot.
