the last film you watched thread

I watched little bit of the movie Judy the women who played her looked like Judy Garland

My Spy (2020)

"A hardened CIA operative finds himself at the mercy of a precocious 9-year-old girl, having been sent undercover to surveil her family."

"JoJo Rabbit" Starring Scarlett Johansen. This movie was one of the worst movies I have seen in awhile. The movie was boring and dull. I do not understand how this movie was ever nominated for an Oscar. It won an Oscar for best adapted screenplay. It was also nominated for multiple awards. The movie was based on the book, 'Caging Skies' by Christine Leunens.

Do not waste your time on this movie!

"Stockton on my Mind" a documentary on Stockton, California. It is one of the poorest and highest crime cities in the U.S They elected the cities youngest and first black mayor at 27 years old. It was very interesting about some of the ideas that this young mayor implemented to turn around this city. I saw the documentary on HBO.

I'm actually quite enjoyed watching JoJo Rabbit. It was hilarious and heartfelt. I laughed. I wept. The plot blends a serious subject matter with something so funny yet at times really sad as well. It's a quirky satire on war and an absurdity on humanity at its best, worst and dumbest. I'll watch it again... you guys should too. :D

It is a satire but did not find anything in the movie funny!

Practical Magic (1998)

"Two witch sisters, raised by their eccentric aunts in a small town, face closed-minded prejudice and a curse which threatens to prevent them ever finding lasting love."

"Sex and The City 2" I had not seen this movie in a long time. I enjoyed seeing it again! Some hot guys in the movie too! LOL

We are still on our Pedro Almodovar cycle. "Law of Desire", "Women On The Verge of a Nervous Breakdown" and "Tie Me Up, Tie Me Down" all wonderful stories.

I just caught an awesome movie on amazon prime - Welcome To The Men's Group (2018)

it is not gay - there are no gay characters but it has full frontal nudity of the entire cast and comes off as a modern day Boys And The Band - funny and tragic - worth a peek ;)

"Train To Busan"

TRAIN TO BUSAN is a harrowing zombie horror-thriller that follows a group of terrified passengers fighting their way through a countrywide viral outbreak while trapped on a suspicion-filled, blood-drenched bullet train ride to Busan, a southern resort city that has managed to hold off the zombie hordes... or so everyone hopes.

Great movie, but it's subtitled, so if you don't like to "read" a movie skip it. There is so much going on it this movie, you just have to watch. There is a review on Youtube that says "Hollywood please do NOT remake this. You can't recreate a masterpiece". I think they are right.

Also, I feel so dirty mentioning this, but the main character played by Gong Yoo is GORGEOUS!
