I want to shout the movie The Exorcist. It was ahead of its time. There was no CGI done. They built props so that one guy could fall to the floor.
I disagree with the Motion Pictures (blah blah) Academy because they were doing things that werent being done.
How does William Freidkin explain to Linda Blair "I want you to masturbate with the crucifix". "For what purpose?" Linda asks
I watched it a section time last night and picked up on things I had noticed. (There are some really slow scenes in the movie. Where is the edit man?)
But to do the acting, the amazing effects that live up to today - They levitated the girl for God's sake
The Movie needs some kind of special award in the realm of moving acting. Linda Blair was because amazing, as was Ellen Burtsyn, and Mercedes McCambridge who did the voices. Oh yes, little one, Mercedes was the voice of Sat
Im watching behind the scenes videos and interviews and watching people for the first time react when they view The Exorcist for the first time . . . .
"Mother! make it stop!" "Its a wonderful day for an exorcism" "Keep away!!! The Sow is mine" (open slap to Ellen's face as she falls to the back and really injury herleaf, as did Linda Blair as the bed threw her back and forth.
"Lick me! Lick me!! I think thats when she is thrown to the ground.
It was great watching people who 'say' that havent watched The Exorcist now
LINDA WAS ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!!!! (but some scenes did drag on a bit)
