the last film you watched thread

Spenser Confidential (2020)

"When two Boston police officers are murdered, ex-cop Spenser teams up with his no-nonsense roommate, Hawk, to take down criminals."

The Craft: Legacy (2020) - Not as good as the first one but I still liked it despite some dodgy special effects. The twist at the end which I won't spoil was cool!

I watched 'Evil Dead' because I heard it was good and funny. That is 'The Evil Dead'. I watched the wrong movie.

OMG! I always thought that Evil Dead is a remake of The Evil Dead (1981) so I decided not to watch it when it first came out in 2013 cuz I watched the original in VHS so many times as a kid. Now I have to check it out. It took me seven years to realize that. I should definitely need to read more lol.

Evil Dead is literally a dark movie. Look at 2:23. Much of the movie is like that, although you cant tell in this trailer.

The funny Evil Dead is with Bruce Campbell

Ash vs Evil Dead (2015–2018) is a series but Bruce Campbell also starred in The Evil Dead (1981) and the other two sequels "Evil Dead II (1987)" and "Army of Darkness (1992)". The original is a cult-classic. It's Sam Raimi's first feature debut. Just think of it as a "Drag Me to Hell" with a much less shoestring budget. I think the comedy was unintentional. The effects look fake and laughable by today's standards. I enjoyed it more as a teenager than I do now as an older person.

I usually avoid watching trailers or reading plots unless I need a motivation or a desire to watch some "Movies". Sometimes we all need a little build up just to increase the curiousity I guess lol. From the first 41 seconds of the trailer, it plain out said that Evil Dead (2013) is "From the Producers of the Horror Classic" and that it's "Comes a New Vision" so I believe it's a new interpretation instead of a remake. However, thank you for making me see the light lol.

She Wore a Yellow Ribbon which is a great film with John Wayne and directed by John Ford.

EMMA. delightful, delicious and spectacular. Rich in flavour and character and Bill Nighy is an absolute hoot.

A Halloween double feature of Poltergeist (1982) and Hocus Pocus (1993). It's not really Halloween until I've watched them. Particularly the latter.

The Evil Dead (1981) is a classic horror film and isn't funny. The funny ones are Evil Dead II (1987) and Army of Darkness (1992), which was simply the funniest and best one (in my opinion) of the trilogy. Evil Dead (2013) is a remake of the original.

Just watched: Scream (1996)

Thank you The Loner for explaining that

I am in the middle of watching Scream. About 45 minutes into. I started 'Young Frankenstein' earlier tonight

The movie was already on but I watched 'Jennifer's Body'

I have a bunch of horror movies on my pvr (thats what Canadians call it).

Movie idea: A crazy man enters Canada and collects every single last PVR!!!!!

If you want to know about horror movies, Eli Roth's 'History of Horror'

In the Ghost episode, he said the first true ghost was in Poltergeist. Someone is wetting their thong

The Evil Dead. Just saw it for Halloween yesterday. Older film, but super good! Cool to see some prop work and costume magic, as opposed to relying on computer-made terror that you see in modern movies nowadays.

Unlike Evil Dead and that mix up, I watched 'Young Frankenstein' (its funny), and not Frankenstein

Watch here (the screen is smaller)

Truth or Dare (2018)

"A harmless game of Truth or Dare among friends turns deadly when someone - or something - begins to punish those who tell a lie or refuse the dare."

Spell (2018)

"After the death of his fiancée, an American illustrator runs out of medication while wandering the isolated Icelandic countryside - unsure if his compulsions are related to his disorder or if he's being forced to unlock ancient secrets."

The Ruins (2008) - An interesting little talked about horror movie that was funnily enough filmed quite close to where I live despite being set in Mexico!
