the last film you watched thread

Child's Play

Love it! What a classic horror film! Too bad some of the sequels were so far off the mark.

nightmare on elm street, the original movie.

i love that movie to pieces, it's really one of my favorite horror films of all time and the story to the first one really spoke to me as a child for some weird reason, so watching it again is really fun for me.

She-Devil starring Meryl Streep and Roseanne Barr

Pretty funny. Meryl is awesome in it as a romance novel writer who loves to sleep with married men. Roseanne owns her role as the scorned wife... such a bizarre team up. Also, one of my first latin crushes is in the movie sporting a speedo; A Martinez (who hasn't aged so well btw). Good movie. If you want a laugh, I'd recommend it.

Open House

I bought it for $2.99... it wasn't worth half of that. Anna Paguin is in it for all of two minutes. Terrible movie. I couldn't suggest a worse movie. Terrible. The acting is really sub-par. The story is interesting enough but the delivery fails. And the ending... the worst I've seen in a long time.

In Time. A sci-fi, futuristic movie where time is money, literally. It's cast with a bunch of young, beautiful people with Justin Timberlake as the lead. The story is interesting with a unique premise. Eventually it becomes a bit gimmicky, showing how many different ways time (how much time a person has to live) is used instead of money.

Chernobyl diaries

it had a few good scare here and there but for the most part it was rather cliche and nothing new

First I watch Coolie from my home country

Then I watched the classic of my new home called "Smokey Bandit"

I just watched the Dark Knight Rises. Man was it awful; for one thing it was far too long for an action film. Twenty, thirty minutes too long I think. The dialogue was also really hammy. I don't recall the other two films being quite so camp but it's been a while since I last saw them.

the ring,

felt like watching it because if fits the season. its not my favorite horror movie of all time but it's pretty good.

The Campaign
Was funny, quite enjoyed it (not happy with the price of popcorn at the odeon but that's another matter)

suspira,

one of the coolest, most stylish horror films i've ever seen. it's up there with santa sangre as just strange and beautiful when it comes to horror cinema.

Snow White and the Huntsman

Beautifully filmed, but pretty atrocious story and acting (except Charlize)

sinister,

its all right, not GREAT, but ok. wasn't really super interested in seeing it but i went with i guy i was interested in, he liked it a lot more than i did but it was still ok.

Hi DC. This film really creeped me out/disturbed me. I'm a huge horror geek so most films don't have that effect on me. This one did. :)

I watched a complete piece of shit on On Demand "Hold Your Breath". Grade: F. Angry that I wasted my money.

A terrible iteration transformed to worth by the source itself; I mean, it's good only if you've read the book first.

East of Eden (1981), the miniseries.
