Last night we watched the latest Godzilla. What a waste of time, it was just awful, we tried to finish it but just could not tolerate it any longer. Save yourself, what a piece of crap! Three oversized creatures roaming about and nothing really ever happens!
 
Saturday Night, I saw "American Sniper" starring Bradley Cooper and directed by Clint Eastwood. Incredible movie. Great performance by Bradley Cooper.

Go check it out!
 
Zatoichi: The Blind Swordsman: Tale of Zatoichi (1962)

Hulu has 25 Zatoichi films and I am attempting to watch all of them. Outside of this the only other film I saw would be Takashi Kitano's version, which I remember being pretty decent but had some bad cgi in it. Liked it, definitely going to continue to watch more.

Good follow up to the first one, direct sequel that expands the story of Zatoichi himself. A bit more Samurai fighting in this one that were nice, like the sets a lot too.
 
Shogun Assassin.

This movie is an edited version of the first 2 Lone Wolf and Cub movies. And although it is a very entertaining movie, the shitty part is that the director took full credit of the movie as if it was his own. I would like to get my hands on the original films and watch them, though.

Agreed! I watched the blu ray and so much of the film is so dark I couldn't well what was going on.
 
Last night I saw "Cake" starring Jennifer Aniston. It was a good movie. Her performance was good but I don't think it was Oscar worthy.

Has anyone else seen this movie? What did you think?
 
The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo US Remake. I must get around to watching the original films soon. Seeing Wild tomorrow which hopefully should be good.

You should really at least watch the first couple minutes. :luv:
 
Foxcatcher. Really disappointed. Tatum has 1 expression through the whole film, Carrel is forced by the makeup to maintain an immovable look of creepyness and dead eyes. Nothing is explained, no character development. Just a rich, emotionally stunted oddball and an emotional fuckup jock, a pointless murder and no sense of conclusion to the story. If it wins Oscars it will be a travesty.
 

I wouldn't call it good, but it wasn't as toe-curlingly bad as other recent Dutch historical movies. They really put some effort in, but the CGI is hardly up to Hollywood standards, and the acting is quite poor.
