A Carrot Cake from a local bakery for my next door neighbor.

Should have made it myself, but feeling a bit lazy of late.
 
Bought a basket of peaches and tomatoes from a roadside stand. The tomatoes are delicious, I LOVE a tomato sandwich, but the peaches are sour. They seem ripe, but they're not very good.

Slice the peaches and put in a container with sugar and let set for a night.

My Mom used to do this and we would have Peach Shortcake instead of Strawberry Shortcake. We used to go to the farmer's market every Sunday after church with my MawMaw and get fruits and veggies. I think strawberries must have been more expensive than peaches, 'cause we were not rich folks, but those peach shortcakes were Damn Good and brought a lot of joy to our family.

Anyway, bought some candles from a local store. I figured they must have been strugleing (sp), just wanted to support local business'es and try to help out. They are next to an laundremat, didn't even know they were there. It was fabulous, so many scented candles. I ain't gonna say how much I spent, but I went away very happy. My home smells absolutely FABULUOS now.
