The last thing you bought? (Yay, a new game! ^_^)

Got gas for the Buick and went to Wataburger in Trussville, AL, it's close. I looked at their menu online and saw that they had a Patty Melt. I worked at Norad, Cheyenne Mountain Colorado for 7 years and got a Patty Melt at Midnight Meal for years, so I decided to check it out. It was delicious and I highly recommend it, but the onion rings were disgusting.

Paid Express Oil Change to put nitrogen in my tires instead of air. Had no idea the vehicle I bought last year needed that in the tires. On a side note, everything was fine, but the other morning I got in the thing and the (very loud) alarm came on, and all four tires were "low". How does that happen all at once? All four tires just exhaled and went "low"?, it stays in the garage, so there is not a possibility that someone did it without me knowing. And when did they start putting Nitrogen in the damn tires. I could only find this place that had that crap.

Fluctuations in temperature will cause a loss in tire pressure. Days in the high 80's and nights in the low 60's in late summer and fall definitely will. My car did the same thing last week.

Nitrogen is more temperature stable. I'm not sure that it's required. That sounds like a scam.

I have experienced this in the past when the temp went LOW, but not in the middle of the hottest times we've had here in a while. I live in Alabama. I find it strange because my car app alerted me to the low condition of my tires a week before the car did. It's just another way that "Big Brother" makes us spend money when we don't need to. I had the oil changed just a couple days before, they checked the tire pressure and all was fine. God, I sound like one of those "crazy" conspiricy nuts . In my defense, my last car, a 2012 Dodge Charger kept telling me that there was condensation inside the windows and kept turning the air conditioning off, but it was Hot As Hell in the car. There was a sensor that was bad, but the car wouldn't let me override the controls, I don't think I like cars that think they are smarter that me.

I'm not an automotive expert, but I do know I've heard one mechanic say on YouTube that ordinary air is good enough for normal applications, and nitrogen is unnecessarily expensive.

Then, I guess plain air isn't free at the gas station anymore, at least where I live...

I don't like cars like that, either. Unfortunately, some might argue that even the first Model T that rolled off the line is smarter than me!

Seriously, though, I don't like what I hear of the features in modern cars. Particularly when they falsely decide what is best, and make it impossible to do anything else.

And then the complexity of dealing with the technology in use--even though I'm good with technology. But I know people who aren't as comfortable who talk about the headaches of learning how drive their new car. I think one even said she'd just learned the basic stuff she needed, and left the remaining 90% of the features alone.

And then it's just more stuff to break--and cost a fortune to fix. One of the mechanics I watch on YouTube has mentioned more than once that even Toyota probably won't have the lifespan they had in the 1990s (decades, hundreds of thousands of miles).

I sometimes think maybe my next car should be something chosen that's older, and can theoretically be kept going forever.

Bacon, eggs and bread for breakfast. I forgot the orange juice but tea will be just as good

It happened again:

Went back and got some more "Air/Nitrogen", put that in quotes because the guy today told me they didn't have nitrogen, so I guess I got "Nitrogenair" last time. Whatever!

Same for me. The auto dimmer headlights were a nightmare, had to turn that off, the lane keeping assist was so agressive that I had to turn that off, the collision avoidance is incredibly touchy, but you can't turn that off when you're in cruise control. It breaks like a mofo when it's not necessary. Those alarms when you are "supposedly" too close to something go off everytime I pull into my garage and when I'm at a drive-in-window fast food joint. It's so aggrevating. There have also been alarm "dings" when I can't even figure out WTF is happening. And the foot operated rear door opener works for everybody BUT ME!!! That one I really can't understand, unless the car really doesn't like me.

Anyway, I had an unusual craving for some Crab Salad, so I got some from Publix.

Hey Steve (*8*) I hope you guys are doing well.

Hi Billy. It's been crazy around here. Trying to help my dad clean out his house, took a few days and went to the mountains, now the fiance is fighting a really bad sinus infection (He tested negative to COVID-19). I'm trying to get ready to go back to work next week. I hope you're doing well!

I just got back from Publix. I had to get something for dinner tonight.
