Gentle reminder woke started as an African American term meaning alert to racial discrimination and bias, then as in all things it was usurped by youknowwho and somehow became a slur. I don't think I've seen anyone use the word correctly since before covid.

I don't even know what it means anymore, people arbitrarily use it to mean anything that's bad.

A&W was posting satirical posts on their Twitter last week about their A&W Root Beer mascot and how after the M&Ms controversy that Fox had been pushing, A&W would be putting pants on Rooty the Great Root Bear.

Apparently, the folks at Faux News don't understand satire and they've been covering the story about A&W's "wokeness",
