Poe had a distinctively light bulb shaped head, so no. He lived in my hometown once, btw, and worked on the newspapeer there.

This photo was taken in the 20th century. The subject is also world famous. He is VERY hard to recognize here, but you would have seen live footage of him in our lifetimes.

I will say there is some irony in his companion there.

That's funny. I had not zoomed in close to see. At a glance, it looked like a slim parrot with its head cocked sideways. The marble in the crow's mouth looked like the parrot's head. Strange photo in all cases.

Yes. He's pretty unrecognizable at that age. His bushy white hair and extra weight in his face really transformed him. It's interesting that commerce can make a person much more famous globally than politics, public office, sports, music or cinema.
