Okay ya'll, so after hearing about this amazing diet Beyonce was on in order to get in to shape for Dreamgirls, I had to try it!

It's called the Lemonade Diet, and I lost 18 pounds in 2 weeks. Beyonce dropped over 20 for her role in Dreamgirls. Okay this diet is very intense, so if you have any health problems (like diabetes or anemia don't do this!!!!!!).

Basically you drink the lemonade mixture 6 - 12 times a day, you eat NOTHING, for up to 2 weeks...and the pounds just melt right off you. The first day I was on it, I instantly saw results when the scale went down by 2 pounds....and the next day one more pound....the next day...2 pounds....and so on.

This diet like i said, is intense, and if you feel that you feel sick or disoriented in anyway get off it immediaitly.

Here's the Diet, drink the follow mixture 6 - 12 times a day:

2 Tablespoons of Lemon Juice
2 Tablespoons of REAL Maple Syrup
1/10 Teaspoon Cayenne Pepper
8 oz of Water.

I advise to take a multivitamin pill(s) everyday to help your body.

This diet will bring you instant results I promise you, but it does come with a heavy warning label. Good luck!

I hate to tell you, but you lost 18 pounds of muscle tissue, not fat. By denying your body of adequate carb and protein levels, it switched quickly to starvation mode, burning the protein resident in your muscle fibre as fuel, retaining as much fat as it possibly could in case the absence of adequate nutrients continued.

Fad diets like this are not only crazy, they're potentially dangerous. The weight loss is not permananent - as soon as your body starts receiving regular calorie levels again your weight will bounce straight back up, maybe even higher than it was to start.

You want to lose weight? Reduce your calorie intake, eat a balanced diet, and get regular exercise.

It would seem to me that if you eat NOTHING for two weeks except vitamin pills and drinking whatever, you will lose weight but it won't be healthy weight loss.

I would have to agree with andysayshi.

Years ago, I used to have a doctor who was homeopathic and he had me go on this lemonade body cleansing process during weekends only, once every two or three months to clean out the toxins in the body. Three days was long enough for me but I cannot imagine two weeks!

You're right. I know I lost, SOME muscle mass, but what I did truly loose was fat. Cause places where I had fat before, is ether gone or reduced. I did this because I took a job as Ass. Hip Hop Instructor at the San Diego Academy of Arts. I do a feel a bit weak, things a bit heavier then they were before, but nothing big in change. I may have lost one or two pounds in sense of muscle mass, and I had a complete physical after the diet (and before). The doctor was a bit pissed at what I did, but I was still 100% healthy. :)

That's the master cleanse diet---too much anal leakage--and you can have a burning feeling from the Cayenne when you go poo. I was on it for a week till I had to stop. There is another part you left out, you are suppose to drink a 32oz glass of water in the morning with a salt solution in to flush you out.

as bad as this diet sounds, it's worse that the multi-vitamin part is useless. It's debatable if vitamins are effective when not taken with real food, or if they are even effective at all.

The burning leakage? Ummm I never had that. But i have been off the diet for nearly 3 days now, and I easing back into it by eating alot of soups (with meat and veggies)...you know easy soups not hearty chunky soups, and eating alot of protein.

Ive only put on 2 pounds since my diet...but I got where I wanted to be.

not a good idea at all. what were you thinking?! you gotta be smarter than that. if you only wanted liquids than do slim fast all day. I wouldn't do that either unless I did two slim fasts and a meal. but even that is not really for me. I lost 30 lbs in 3 months working out and eating right. i stopped working out two months ago(cause it is damn hot in Phoenix right now and I was stuck at a certain weight!)and I only gained 3 lbs. that's because I did it right. the quicker you take it off the quicker you will put it back on. beyonce is a fool but I doubt she would back that diet up in public. I'm sure she's been lippoed. you can always tell by the gut. but you are 19 so you are young enough to really train your body right.

I would like to tell you about what happened to one of my clients. She went on the same diet and lost 17 lbs very quickly. From a normal weight, she became sickly ill-looking. Its like an alternative to starvation diet. You end up looking from plump to the anorexic holocaust look ( sorry to offend anyone by refering to that but from what I learned and read, that was best to describe it).

She is still on the diet and think she looks amazing but to me, I rather not see her looking like this.

anyway, back to the story. Starving yourself and eating nothing to lose weight is never the way to do it. You wan't to tone your body and lose the fat, you do not want to lose your body mucles to get skinnier. That is a whole different idea.

Jared Leto did not do this diet, but he lost weight rapidly to a very similar diet of drinking nothing but lemon water. We all know he got sick afterward for doing that.

I am actually against using the diet pills, but more to naturally exercising to lose weight. Even though I do not like the diet pill, but in this case, I would rather suggest the diet pills over this lemonade diet.

Atleast the diet pills are advertised to help your body maintain metabolism and give you energy. Starving yourself does none of that. Taking multivitamins pills does very little to your recovery. Eating is much better!

Do you want to look skinny and flabby or toner and slimmer? The only way to lose weight correctly is to exercise.

This type of diet is temporarily. What happens when you have reached your goals and have stopped? You gain all the weight back and be much more sick than before!

If the females want to look anorexically thin... let them be. They shouldn't but they will learn from their mistakes.

As for us males, we prefer more meat and muscles. We do not want to look frail thin. You are losing your mucles mass...horray! What about your layers of fat? Without eating anything, you have no energy to even go burn off that layers of fat..but if you do, then you'll be nothing but a bag of bones.

I am sure most everyone here would agree with me. Go eat something, grab a burger, before you turn into male version of Nichole Richie.

I personally prefer low carbohydrate dieting. Even though there is little to back it up other than results, I have seen it [Atkins or similiar] work miracles on people including my parents.

So, while I agree that putting your body in starvation mode is bad, with low carbohydrate dieting [I have found at least], when combined with appropriate vitamins, you kick start your metabolism and ketosis [burning fat]. So, when I did it [and am actually on it right now] my body fat % has gone down, and my muscle mass has gone up [with excercise, vitamins and of course lots of protein].

I am not sure exactly how it works on cholesteral and blood pressure. Logic says it would go up, but my mother's, father's and mine have gone down. Maybe it is something like Lorenzo's Oil. Your body is flooded with certain chemicals and it produces more of the right chemicals to compensate.

Anyways, while I am sure this Lemonade Diet does make you lose weight, I highly doubt that unless you take the appropriate vitamins with it, you are actually burning fat. It is all probably muscle and water weight.

Wow, you missed the mark on this one. The process is a cleanse, meant to clear your body of toxins. It's not a diet and it's not a fat loss program.

My cousin did it with his friends to cleanse his system, not to lose weight. The only thing you lose is water and you'll gain it back. Beyonce only did it to look like she lost weight, and I think she even mentioned that it isn't for someone who'se looking to actually and permanently slim down and lose fat.

The whole basis of the lemonade is that it maintains the nutrients you need in your system and the salt water flush draws out toxins and the cleans the intestines.

If you want to lose weight, controlling your portions to healthy amounts and regular exercise are the way to go. A flush like the Lemonade Cleanse is only for body purity.

Diets are stupid.

Yes and no. I agree to an extent in the way that most people do a diet to lose weight and then go back to their old habits. That is pretty much pointless because you are just going to put it back on again.

Yet, at the same time, they arent stupid. Particularly if the "diet" is more of a lifestyle to keep you healthy [especially if obesity, heart disease, hypoglycemia AND Diabetes run in the family like mine does]. So, with me, it is becoming a way of life.

My little brother on the other hand is rather lucky though. He has an unnaturally high metabolism, so no matter what he eats, he has like 6-7% body fat, no health issues, and gains muscle the same way that a couch potato gains weight. It drives me crazy. But, on the other hand I worry about him. When he hits 30 or so, his metabolism will slow down, and all of this will come crashing down on him. I myself got the short end of the stick and have a low metabolism by nature, so weight maintenance is a constant battle.

2 Tablespoons of Lemon Juice

:rotflmao: That's my remedy for a sore throat except I use hot water.

offtopic:

I once lost 23 pounds in less than a week... after a gall bladder surgery. Gee, this one little stone weighed that much!

I have a better diet that actually works! Stick with this diet & eat NOTHING else! However its not that intensive. The result varies but I can promise you its better than what you are on now. Here goes:

Basically you take this 6-8 times a day. Much lesser than the Lemonade diet.

Choose the menu below according to your common sense:

Wholemeal sandwich with colourful vegetables & grilled/ poached/ baked(no fat) steamed/ lean beef, skinless chicken breast, fish or tofu with Dijon Mustard.

A cup of cooked Brown rice, steamed any vegetables(at least 3 types) & poached/ grilled/ baked(no fat)/ steamed/ lean beef, skinless chicken breast, fish or Toufu.

Brown Rice California Roll with wasabi low fat mayo & poached/ grilled/ baked(no fat)/ steamed/ lean beef, skinless chicken breast, fish or Toufu.

Steamed/ Baked/ Grilled small to medium Yam/Sweet Potato with Vegetables & poached/ grilled/ baked(no fat)/ steamed/ lean beef, skinless chicken breast, fish or Toufu.

Stir Fried (with only 1 tsp of olive oil) Soba noodles with plenty of Vegetable strips & served with poached/ grilled/ baked(no fat)/ steamed/ lean beef, skinless chicken breast, fish or Toufu.

Non-Sugar added Soy Milk with Non-sugar added muesli.

Poached egg on Wholemeal English Muffin & sauteed spinach(with 1 tsp of olive oil).

Fresh Colourful Fruits & Fresh Colourful Vegetables.

Plenty of Treated Plain Water throughout the day.

Oh, Add in Salmon Oil Supplementation (equivalent to 700mg EPA) & Multivitamin with Multimineral & Plant Concentrates to help you cope with the intensive diet.

This is a secret diet that even Beyonce didn't know before doing Dreamgirls. That's why she took the Lemonade Diet. So, have no worries. This diet in fact is recommended by the health authorities. I have no clue what about the Lemonade diet. Please take note, you should stick with this diet only. Do not take anything else. You can take whatever you want once a month. But not more.

Good Luck!..|
