The lies begin....

Not even a week after the vote, Obama is already starting to lie, and show that he was lying.

Remember he said, "I don't want to take away anyone's guns"? Well, here's the reality:

He wants to make the "assault weapons ban" (with not an assault weapon on the list) permanent -- in spite of the fact that the Congressional Research Committee, the National Academy of Sciences, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention all agree that the last one did nothing to reduce crime -- and that the murder rate has actually been down since the last such ban ended. Further, police agencies say that more people are murdered with knives, baseball bats, bricks, and such far, far many more times than with any of the alleged "assault weapons" -- which Obama calls "battlefield" weapons!

That whole situation is just full of Obama lies.


He also wants to overturn a law endorsed by the Fraternal Order of Police, and let just about anyone get their hands on firearm-trace information, which is generated for police use in investigating crime. There's no good reason for this move; indeed if the police oppose it, there must be some good reasons to leave the law as it is, so only the police can get that information.


And he wants to "close the gun show loophole". That's a lie right there, because there is no "loophole"; the law applies at gun shows the same it does everywhere else.


Doesn't want to take away anyone's guns? Well, maybe in a strict sense, but he certainly wants to tighten the screws and set up the scene for confiscation.

The thing is that police oppose repeal the Tiahrt, as all police already have access to that information (that they don't is another lie) through the FBI. "Illegal arms trade" is a fancy way fo referring to what's normally called "theft", which is where many criminals get their guns -- but also a lie, because it normally means huge deals for military weapons. The "gun show loophole" is a lie in itself, since the laws apply at gun shows just as much as anywhere else. "Making guns... childproof" sounds wonderful but is a lie because there's no technology that can do so -- at all (better would be "make adults child-safe"). And there aren't any weapons on the "Assault Weapons" list that would be of much interest to a soldier heading for a battlefield; they're only called "assault weapons" because of how they look -- a child's way of categorizing things... and another lie. And the rate at which they're found "on our streets" is so low you could die of starvation on a food strike in most American cities before police would bring one in from being used in a crime.

my current bullet tax plan is $200 for each bullet. If anyone argue with this plan, it might increase according to the arguement.
