Three games, three wins so far...but these are just warm up matches until the real competition starts : the first test against the Wallabies on June 22nd. Australia are up against it and boy do they know it..|But facing a fanatical home crowd and a deeply hostile media, the lions will need every bit of their undoubted physical and mental strength to overcome Australia. I reckon the outcome of this 2013 tour may be tighter than many pundits believe.

Well I had (reluctantly) been thinking that the Lions would be too strong for the Wallabies this time around. On paper they probably ought to be - but the Brumbies pulling off that 14-12 win has given me renewed hope. We'll see...the match starts just over half an hour from now...

Oh well - close...but no cigar...

Haha, cheers mate!! You`ve broken this thread`s virginity, was it a mercy fuck? :D Yeah definately closer than the lions would have wanted and fair dues to the Wallabies, that 23-21 scoreline is tribute to their tenacity. Any other time, they might have walked it but you`d have to agree, they just made too many mistakes in the scrum and on the lines and we took full advantage. On the whole, I`m fairly pleased with the Lions performance, but too many loose scrums for my liking and a certain amount of early complacency that they took too long to shake off. But a win`s a win and a win against the Aussies can never be described as pyrrhic ..| But the Wallabies mental strength seems as solid as ever and Folau is absolutely awesome !! Who knows mate, you might be chomping on a big fat King Edward, yet....Cheers !!

Another very tight one - with a penalty at the close...

16-15 our way this time.

Next one ought to be worth watching ;)

We let you guys win this one, fella, just to lift your spirits temporarily until we crush you next week :D I`d imagine Ashley Cooper is the toast of Melbourne tonight and rightly so. Yeah that death-throes penalty was never going to happen, even Halfpenny couldn't do it from the 90 metre line and he looked pretty gutted, afterwards. Like you say, the honours are split and the Sydney test will be AWESOME !! All the best, mate ..|

Let me be the first one to gloat.

Australia 16 - British Lions 41

That means the Lions win the series 2-1. :D

When it got to a 3 point game I thought we were in with a chance - but no.

Robbie Deans hasn't really worked any magic - we need someone who can.

Talking of which - I have a funny feeling that Boof just might be what the Aussie cricket team needs right now...

^Yeah, what was that I said about raising spirits in order to crush them ;) A fantastic end to a so-so tournament and we only had to wait 16 years for a series win. Gatland was being torn to pieces a few days ago and now...he can do no wrong, it`s a funny old game. :D Totally agree with you on the cricket point, btw.

Well -now we have a new rugby coach - and he's also a well credentialled Aussie.

What is it they say - rebuilding phase?! ;)

I don't even know what game you're talking about.

There was a guy on my government radio today saying something about that 40% of the English nation's fans now support the Manchester United team of ball-players. Is that so?

Nah we`re not talking Soccer, we`re talking rugby Union. As for Man U `s fan base....well, have you ever heard the term "glory hunters" before? :D
