Ah, field burning -- a great way to screw up air quality!
Years ago when farmers could burn fields at will, Oregon had several multi-vehicle pileups due to smoke swirling down across highways and reducing vision to about the front of your vehicle; people also ended up in emergency rooms from the smoke.
The only thing magnificent about field burning is it brought attention to air quality issues.
^ That's what a "wildfire" looks like in tame Catalonia, Spain, Europe... burning scrubland, forests and fields during the past weekend and, therefore, screwing the quality of screwed-up air in the area.
