I think this is the most beautiful building I’ve ever seen

The proposed "Burj Almasa" aka the "Diamond Tower" aka the "Jeddah Tower" in Jeddaj, Saudi Arabia. Construction was started in 2011 but subsequently halted due to a corruption scandal. Construction is scheduled to resume in 2025 and be completed in 2028.

These stunning creatures are Megalorrhina harrisi peregrina, also known as African flower chafers. Their vibrant colors and impressive size make them a sight to behold.

Native to Africa, male chafers possess long, curved horns used in battles for mates. Beyond their beauty, they play a vital role in ecosystems, aiding in pollination, decomposition, and pest control.

Sorry but I cannot feel that there is anything beautiful about this project once you know that thousands of men have died already on the site and thousands more will be dead before the job is completed. Imported workers are treated worse than slaves in that country. American slave owners did at least aim to keep their slaves alive, since it cost money to buy new ones. Contractors in SA know that when their men die, which they do often due to gross overwork and zero safety precautions, then can get new ones for free.

In northern Japan and the forests of China you can see these flowers that look normal but when they come into contact with water their petals become transparent. Its-name is skeleton flower or glass flower, its scientific name is Diphylleia grayi.
