I'm surprised there hasn't already been a thread like this, but I searched and didn't find one. Apologies if I'm mistaken!

I have a lifelong love of softcore porn, especially when it's generous with the male nudity (which it all too often isn't). I love modern softcore because it's adorable seeing all the hunky guys who agree to take their clothes off, suck some titty, and pretend to fuck, probably believing that because they're not doing actual porn, they still have a shot at making it as legitimate actors.

And I love vintage softcore because it's sexy watching the pioneers of on-screen nudity; guys who, whether they were interested in mainstream careers or not, were doing something that must have felt pretty revolutionary and strange by showing the camera their goods.

I'm starting this thread in homage to all the softcore studs of today and yesterday. Since I think JUB rules prohibit posting entire movies, I'll be limiting it to titles, stills, and - if possible - at exactly what minute in the movie you can see the good stuff.

I hope there are other softcore fans on the board who will comment or post their own favorites.

First up is Max Thayer in 1976's Ilsa, Harem Keeper of the Oil Sheiks. The Ilsa series of films are about as disturbingly exploitive of females as it gets, even eroticizing sexual violence and mutilation. However at the 56:30 mark, we're treated to a view of 30-year-old Thayer having sex with the female villain. In a nice departure, he's naked, she's fully clothed. Not only that, but the camera keeps returning to extended shots of his ass as it bumps and grinds. I'm not sure I've ever seen so many closeups of a man's ass in a non-porn flick.

Thayer has gone on to an extensive career, largely in B action movies, bit parts, and episodic TV. Enjoy these stills of his younger self.

Here's Jerry Delony from the same movie. I'm completely gay but I've always found it a turn-on to see guys suck tits on-screen. Thank you. I love softcore porn, especially the days when they tried to be sensual and genuinely erotic (in recent years they either go for comedy, or they have such generic, prefab positions that every scene looks the same). This was in an era where other than Mike Horner, Eric Edwards, and a few others, many guys in hardcore porn (straight anyway) were ugly and out of shape, or made themselves look ugly with awful hair, so softcore really showed them up. There's so much cable material out there from the '80s and '90s I never saw, or would love to see again.

love this post a lot. i knew of a site a while back that worshiped every softcore hunk you could think of but sadly it was taken down. i do agree that they rather took a comedic turn in softcore movies shown on cinemax and showtime but there are the rare ones that take it seriously and if you really concentrate, you can get a glimpse of the goods. i find that verrry hot when you can just see a little bit and your imagination goes wild. rather interesting post; would love to see more on the topic.

1975's Emanuelle & Francoise (TRIVIA: when Emanuelle is only spelled with one 'm', you know it isn't an official Emmanuelle flick by the series' original creators) is about two sisters of titles names. Francoise has an abusive boyfriend, played by George Eastman, who eventually drives her to suicide, and Emanuelle swears revenge. First, she makes the man become infatuated with her, then she chains him up in a soundproofed chamber in her house, with one of those one-way mirror looking into her living room.

As one of the means of torture she derives for him, she has him watch while she has sex with another man beginning at the movie's 100:25 mark. She seduces a cutely innocent mechanic whose trim body is, IMO, sexy and nice, if unspectacular. The movie's in Italian, which I don't understand, so I'm not sure why she targets the mechanic or even what his character's name is (thus, I couldn't look up the actor). She deliberately damages her engine so she can bring the car to him and, when he knocks on her door later to return her keys, invites him in for a drink. She immediately proceeds to dump the drinks on him as an excuse to strip him. He reluctantly allows her to take his shirt, but begs her to let him keep his pants on. A short tussle ensues, and of course she gets her way and he's quickly nude. He provides a good several seconds of frontal before cupping his goods in his hands, though of course Emanuelle doesn't allow his hands to stay there.

In the seen where the mechanic seems to be looking at the camera, he's actually looking at his awkward, naked self in the mirror, not knowing that the, IMO, ugly but sexy and muscular Eastman is staring right back at him, chained up and helpless to look away or make himself heard. As the scene progresses and the mechanic gets a blowjob (which we don't see), we see that Eastman is getting aroused at the sight, in spite of himself.

There are a lot of soft porn guys I got into and two or three of which I found out actually did REAL porn which was a nice surprise.
