The merry month of may

I looked out my window this morning and saw the conjunction of two bright planets: Venus and Jupiter. Hmm, I had heard nothing about this in the media, perhaps because it's not December., when such things tend to have supernatural interpretations ascribed to them. Hmm, a conjunction on May Day? Perhaps God is showing solidarity with the workers of the world. Not the sort of thing the media wants to promote, I don't think.

May-Tree a tradition in southern Germany

and of cause Germany as the country of beer has a special brew "Maybock"

well...

Venus and Jupiter will be millions of miles apart, but from Earth they will appear close to colliding...

reminds me of an old Meat Loaf song, "Objects in the rear view mirror may appear closer than they are"
