The MNRomantic Safe Zone Thread

Paul,
It could be that Dustin is the one who's going to miss his party here.
We have a window. . .

Hi Dustin  (*8*)

I have about 170+ hours due myself. That's great you're on a lake. It must be beautiful there. Does your family have a boat and do you fish?

Yes, I have your birthday memorized...can I publish it? ;) (j/k buddy)

Hey Dustin, well, your birthdate is really nothing to get paranoid about, imo. Don't worry about it.

Concerning work, I've personally been through several restructurings as well as being bought and sold (4 times) over the past few decades. We've lost big clients and we win them back or get others to come on board. I've seen good people get terminated and escorted out of the building, crying. "We'll send you your personal items that you have at your desk. You're to leave now, with your wallet (or purse) and your car keys." It's brutal. We've even had bodyguards on site during terminations to protect the HR people that come to do the official termination(s). I've always survived the culling, thank God. But it's a helluva wake up call and shows you how serious big business is.
You've indicated that you are considered a valuable team member in spite of this lost contract/client. Be proud of that. And no matter what happens, always realize that these things occur and everyone moves on. I understand your feelings and concerns. It's tough times for your organization. I, and your friends here wish you all the best, no matter what the final decisions are. You, personally, and most likely your company too will implement changes...to adapt...to overcome...to survive. Keep us informed Dustin (*8*)

It seems she does think highly of you Dustin then, even though she's overbearing and demanding, which is understandable when you're in charge. Look, go with the flow and best of luck. Are you still searching other opportunities?

Take care, Dustin.

Hopefully much better things - and clients - are just down the road.

Send them off with professionalism.
You do quality work - don't let the *&^$ Superintendent's lack thereof deter you.

Good Saturday Morn, Dustin.

Don't keep your nose TOO close to the grindstone this weekend.
You need some recharge time.

Sorry to hear that, Dustin. (*8*) Send my thoughts to the person who got laid off, if possible. It's never easy losing a job under any circumstance.
May I also say, you're a very patient man, having to put up with all this. Personally, I would've packed the job in ages ago. I know that isn't always possible, but stuff like this can really wear you down.
Anyway, you're in my thoughts and I hope things improve. (*8*)

Awesome post, Dustin! ..|
