Dustin sweetheart, that doesn't sound too promising, although it could still come good. The client will presumably have to buy the services from somewhere and if your pitch makes economic sense they'd be mad to take their business elsewhere.
That said, you clearly need to move on and find a position which suits you better. Of course, it would be preferable to do that in your own time rather than have it imposed on you. Good luck with that. I know you've been sending out your CV to possible employers. If you require a glowing reference, I'd be happy to oblige.
