The MOLE - Official Thread

Bobby is just pathetic...there is no way that a man his age and build should be so out of shape. He's got to be faking being so weak as a strategy...and it's a bad strategy at that too. There is no way I'd have ever carted his skinny ass all over town in a wheelbarrow. wtf...he's PATHETIC! I really don't think he's the mole either...the mole wouldn't blatantly throw a comp or draw that much attention to him/herself. The mole is much sneakier than that.

I did chuckle a bit when Alex clued us in that he kinda set it up for Bobby to read his journal. I didn't catch what bait he put in there though. I started to think that maybe Bobby might be eliminated too...hoping so anyway...;) Alex was quite controlling at the pig sling too...and not the best shot at first either. he kinda set off my moldar a bit.

I have to watch the episode again for clues...but my #1 suspect right now is Mark. He very eagerly volunteered to be one of the pair that had to ride up the hill rather than play soccer...when everyone else seemed to want Craig and the older lady to do that. It would be smart for the mole to have immunity...and keep 35,000 (?) out of the pot. Maybe he knew that Craig and whatshername would never make it up the hill. He was kinda bitchy at the end too when they were shooting the pigs with the sling...wanting to shoot them over more quickly which may have resulted in more broken pigs (?).

Victoria...I didn't catch the jersey toss...hmmm. She's really not in my radar as being the mole though....and that's the sign of a good mole...flying under the radar. I don't think it's Paul either...and yup he's an ass...but the NY'er in me kinda likes him...

Yeah, I love Paul. He's brash and rude but he's really only speaking the truth for the most part. And at least he has a personality.

What on god's earth was Nicoles comment about killing Paul in his sleep about? If someone said that to me I'd think they were joking until they added 'and I know how to do it without leaving any forensic evidence' Um........

My top 3 picks for the mole as of right now are Craig, Mark and Alex. The mole is supposed to be smart and crafty but until you play the game, you don't really know how you're going to play so who is to say they can't just totally suck.

Those are my top picks, however I'm suspicious of some of the girls, particularly Victoria and Ali.

I wish Anderson Cooper would come back as host. He's so sexy.

I too wish Anderson Cooper was coming back to host this new season. I thought he was a great host and provided some eye candy for the show.

I like that each of the contestants is eliminated by their own hand...not up to phone in/popularity voting by viewers or being eliminated by the other players teaming up/forming alliances and voting someone out. It's each player's own powers of observation and skills at reading people...as well as ability to deceive others...that makes this show stand apart from many of the others. They're ultimately on their own.

The players want others to think they are the mole...to throw them off. Nicole being annoying could just be her strategy (a bad one at that if you ask me though.) I was suspicious of her at first...but in past seasons the mole really didn't stand out too soon....and she came on way to strong and confrontational from the start. I really don't think she is. I thought Marcie may have been the mole...so much for that idea! :)

I don't have any guesses just yet as to whom it is, however the production team usually throws in clues for the viewers to try and figure out who the mole is....and then they'll list the clues that related to the mole's identity at the end of the series when the mole is revealed. I'm not usually too observant of these clues....but a few possible ones from episode 1, that I read from another site, that are being suspected/considered are...
  • Victoria was the only one with a green thumb print on her helmet in the waterfall challenge...the others were all blank.
  • Journal #11 was shown when John Kelley handed out the journals
  • The boat name was Jose Luis 810...someone thought it was a biblical reference to Mark 8:10....something about a boat journey to an unknown place or something like that.
I don't know if those mean anything or not...what I do know is that it appeared Mark had journal #10....so those 2 clues above (if they even are clues) don't jive.

I'm really looking forward to this series.... :gogirl: !!

I too agree that this show is great but the players are totally on their own and they basically decide their own fate. They have to be observant and keep track of things they think the mole is doing and they ultimately have to score really well on the test. Otherwise, they get booted out.

Well Bobby is either the worst player ever or a horrible horribly obvious mole. But do to his all around bitchiness I think he just really really really sucks.

Victoria does kinda give off a molish vibe maybe just beacuse they focused on her. I don't know but her whole "we should all be a team" deal just felt horribly fake.

I'm fairly convinced Paul, though an ass, is not the mole.

I agree. I think Bobby is the worst player ever. I was so hoping that we would have got kicked off last night but he didn't You guys are starting to convince me about Victoria.

Bobby Pleez! What would inspire him to go on a show like The Mole? He can't even walk, if that is a true problem. He is either The Mole or the very worst of the worst of the worst, ever, ever.

So many players with zero personalities. Alex is so far the only player

Does anybody else get the Barack O'Bama likeness of the host? Wonder if that was the plan.

Once again, the gay stereotype is casted. A weak limp wrist guy who can't do anything.

What I don't understand is that Bobby said that he was on a traveling soccer league, was it him that said it? I hope he goes soon. He can't walk or run for more than 15 seconds?

Dang, it's pretty sad that I created this thread and I haven't even seen the first 2 episodes yet. :( Both Monday nights... something came up and I wasn't able to watch.

Don't feel too bad. Apparently something came up for a lot of people considering less than 6 million people tuned into both episodes.

Better start tuning in though before theres nothing to tune into.

Yes it was Bobby who said that and then immediately got in the wheelbarrow like a disabled, deformed idiot. I don't get him at all. Is he that stupid, that weak, or, if he is the mole, trying to be that obvious. The soccer game, once again he had cramps, needed water right away, couldn't play soccer for shit.

This show will tank big time. There is nothing electric or stimulating, or fascinating about any of the group and the host blows..........:mad::mad::mad::mad::cry::cry::cry:

Im sticking to my plan of waiting till the end of the series to see who the mole is and then watch the series. Then I can watch everything the person does. Maybe they eat different meals ;-)

I gotta believe he's faking his weaknesses as some kind of a weird strategy. If he was a soccer player...he'd have to be in better condition than he's been showing. Aside from being kind of a wimp though....I haven't noticed any typical gay stereotypes displayed by him.

Ugh...I'm not even sure what the stereotypes are anymore...feminine, snippy, dramatic and flamboyant (like Marcellus and Bo from Big Brother)? I can think of a few gay reality show contestants that don't necessarily fit that mold....JP, Richard and Todd ...all from Survivor....I'm sure there have to be more. Anyway...I do agree with you that reality shows often like to typecast the gay contestant for the most part...seems we are often there to stir the pot and add some drama and flair...but then again, I do know a fair share of guys that are just naturally like this too....

Amazing Race has had a lot of gay players and they were not at all stereotyped. Some were a little effeminate but you loved them anyway. And they have won.

I don't think Bobby is gay. I don't want him to be gay. I would like to kick the ass in the ass.

I love gay people. I love all the nuances and ranges and bitches and sweeties and back biters and lovers .

Bobby is gone, thank god. What a worthless waste of a player. I never thought he was the mole so that changes nothing for me.

Ali leaving was a surprise. She was further down my mole suspect list but she was still on it.

My official 3 picks as of Monday's episode are Clay, Victoria and Nicole.

Clay you don't see too much of and when you do, there's a lot about him that's staged or planned. He did continue speaking after the luge challenge and did bow out of the clothe gathering challenge as well.

Victoria, same thing. Very stagey and planned. Are you kidding me with the crying over Bobby? Couldn't you see how terrible a player he was? Or maybe she did and was happy to have everyone think he was the mole and was upset that's over? And um, her not using her Spanish in a spanish speaking country to get clothes. If the mole was anyone in that group it was her.

Nicole saying pear twice, clearly on purpose was suspicious to me. Of the three, she's the third mole suspect, the other two are stronger, but she's still on the list.

Honorable mention are Craig and Mark.

I knew Bobby wasn't the mole. His bitchiness was far too genuine. Not to mention that the mole would've never said "pear" because there wasn't a pear there. If the mole were going to say something it would've been something that he knew could be swapped out.

Right now Craig would be at the lead of the list but I have some editting based reservations. During week one they showed multiple confessionals (mark, clay and paul maybe) with people talking about how Craig could be the mole. It seems liek the producers would want not to throw suspicion on the mole so early but maybe I'm wrong. Craig babbled on past the finish line and more over he found their clothes! Really? Really? I don't buy it. It seems like a well coordinated attempt by the producers to have the mole step into a more hero role in one challenge thereby throwing suspicion off him.

Ali's departure kinda sucks. My gut told me that she was competent and probably able to go far in this game.

Victoria is also suspicious. Her horrible over acting when Bobby left and "let's be friends" attitude just make her come off as fake. It doesn't help that the person with the lowest score, Bobby, was unable to suspect her because of the cliqueness that was growing in the social dynamic of the game. Her instance that Ali not wanting to walk around in panties much longer was "suspicious" just screams of deflection.

Victoria and Craig are my top two suspects.
Craig just found the laundromat on his own?
Jon Kelley is horrid as a host and the casting could have been a lot better but at least they brought the show back and that's good regardless.

I actually like Jon. Obviously he's no Anderson Cooper but he's starting to come into his own as host. The only think I can say that bugs me about him is how 'hosty' he is from his Extra gig. He needs to lose that and be more Mole host.
