That's because most of the people on Youtube are young teenagers.

Duh .

Video with arabic or middle easterners in it : anti-islamic comments are left on it even though the video has nothing to do with it.

Natural Disasters like earthquakes/cyclones : megachristian comments are usually left on it saying how we've invoked the wrath of god for our sins blabla.

Video of gays : Gays are going to hell

My absolute favourite ones though are when people post videos of them teasing their pets. Everyone teases their pets jokingly, but the comments that spout from that are hilarious, all of a sudden everyone is an expert vetanarian or zoologist and are saying how the animals should be taken away from such cruelty.

My absolute unfavourite : (in relation to thumbs down) ______________ people are justin beiber fans xoxoxo XD XD XD
^ I want to stab these tweens in their uteri

When it comes to youtube, just stuck to the vids. The comments will melt your brain.

On some of the vids I post, I just disable comments from the start. Believe me it's better this way... /facepalm :##:

On a graphics demo reel vid I have up, here's this little gem...
omg, everytime i watch reels i have an orgasm.

That one actually made me lol a little, but it's still inappropriate. Still, I'm not going to delete it though, on account of I allowed comments in the first place, when I shouldn't have.

Many are doing it for the lulz.

Reach deep down and find the anthropological side in you, learn more about internet culture, and you'll get it... look up "lulz" to find the rabbit trail.

Have you ever noticed how awful many of the comments on that site are? Some of them are just astounding.

I love watching certain videos there but I cannot read the crap there anymore. Just as an example, at least one of every three or four posts has the word "gay" or "fag" in it. Sure, there's some good, smart people posting there, but sometimes they seem outnumbered.

I'm guessing this has a lot to do with the age, maturity, and education level of the types of people a site like this tends to attract, and that fact that it's mostly unmoderated?

internet is born from over edcuate stuff twat spoilt toons so

fact folk type stuff on screen ans assume much is da amazin of cultures dead in water

ans news media go makes twit ans face book ans thousands social sites spin in da waffles of babbles of nuks

-

nice ta see folk of arabian countrys a make use of as do ohter countrys fa gettin their countrys froms under da butt of male piss of eons

thankyou

Most of the 'thumbed up' comments annoy me because there's no originality. Someone comes up with a new one every 5-6 months, then it gets pasted onto every single video by desperate people trying to get approval through 'thumbs up' on Youtube.

The above "Justin Beiber" comments are a prime example.

I strongly advise any sensitive gay person to stay away from Youtube comments. 'Trolls' spend their time making disgusting, ignorant and provocative statements purely to get a reaction out of people and start a pointless argument (you can see it on this website quite frequently, too). Using words like 'fag'; or phrases like 'god hates gays' and 'that's gay' on videos related to the LGBT community, basically ensures a reaction out of those who are not familiar with 'internet culture'.

Sometimes I can't help but scroll down when loading a video, and I always /facepalm when I see the Justin Beiber comments and the ridiculous arguments below them.

I have no self-discipline. I know I should just watch the video and ignore the comments, but I just can't help scrolling down and subjecting myself to that ignorant cesspool of mind-numbingly tedious backtalk that is the Youtube comments section.

i "thumbs up" the videos i really like.

No thumbs up or down for the videos i don't care.

"thumbs down" any videos which i don't agree with and may give bad influence to the un-educated, especially the religious videos.

^^^ That's because the people on their aren't getting any pussy.

I almost never read the comments at youtube. Sometimes I'll post favorable comment on videos I know will get a rash of negative gay comments. Just so the poster doesn't think everybody hates them.

For example there's a guy in Washington, DC who posts segments each year from the Tony Awards in HD. You can imagine what kind of comments he gets.

The posters on Yahoo are almost as bad. Yahoo seems to be full of "tea party" nut cases.

Youtube members think they're anonymous when they post their junk whether it's the copyrighted crap some post instead of their own original vids or the comments they make on others' vids.
Of course X-Box is worse because it's an overgrown gaming system for children, all too many of whom are not supervised by their lackey parents.

I don't read any of the comments usually, with the exception of the highest rated comments.

Most of the people are under the age of 14 anyway. My time cannot be wasted.

You can find such comments on almost every site where comments are posted. And yes, there is a lot of ignorance and immaturity in the World. I don't think that it is possible to get away from it.

Yeah it's pretty bad, although I would say 4chan gives it a run for it's money.
