The New Ultimate Post Whore Thread

Hey, I believe in the power of dreams! My dream guy and I will be making our 10th anniversary in less than two weeks... If it can happen for me, it can happen for everybody! :D

I think the whole bi guy situation is really complicated though, and based on some people's opinions who are closest to the situation, it won't happen .. although the general public holds hope.

That's too bad. I always thought sucking was a good thing.
;)

Sucking is a good thing when penises are involved. Sucking is not a good thing when one of your students is 10 years old, can't read, and the parents insist that they don't want him moved from a "regular" classroom into a self-contained special education classroom. This kid has to have everything read to him, and has a "learned laziness" that he wants you to tell him what to write on the paper. ](*,)

Everyone loves to think that their kid is perfect. I understand that he is the "apple" of their eyes. But they are not doing him any favors by denying him the help he could be getting. I'm not trained as a special educator, but I have been teaching an "inclusion" classroom (special ed. students mixed into a regular class) for the past seven years. I have a special education consultant teacher who co-teaches with me an hour each day, and because one of my other boys is autistic (but highly intelligent), he has a full time aide (which means that I have a full time aide to help me). But even with all of that help, some kids (like the kid who can't read) fall through the cracks. We are setting them up for failure when they get to high school and can't pass from the ninth grade into tenth because they simply can't pass the final exams...

Sorry for venting guys...Thanks for understanding...(*8*)

An aide's job is sometimes even harder than the classroom teacher's job...I have the highest respect for them!

Off to bed now... Good night guys!
