  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

The next pandemic: DETRANSITIONERS!

It's unhealthy to have such a fascination with what other people's junk looks like. I'm not worried about you because I think you're a tool but you really need to know that, at best, when you go on 'vents' like these people are gonna think you're nuts. (nuts = abnormally obsessed)

.....And may I recommend gendercynical on reddit to flush out that fuckin' weird obsession cuz it reminds me of a mix of inceldom and 2nd wave feminism (which says to always choose the bear and does not, at any point, welcome any man. Let alone one with an ounce of self esteem).

I often wonder if this is because it's the journey not the destination that people are looking forward to?

That is definitely an issue with the youngest cohort. Girls who do not yet know what being a woman is like, are being led to believe they can become real men.
But at the very best, they end up looking like Elliot Page or some such manlet. The euphoria wears off pretty quick.
Same with the boys. Many think they are going to be the hottest chick, getting the hottest hunks, having the hottest sex.
Only to spend the rest of their life in pain while dilating, and lacking depth for penetration.

I see you laughing up there with these newfangled 'like' emoticons - but look, someone had to tell him! That the lot of ya just let him go on is embarrassing.

I'm inclined to think that this thread has run its course. Do you have any evidence to support this claim?

To be honest, I just can't even even anymore.

I now just think that after all the scorn I have heaped on this thread, the best approach would be to just not engage anymore with the OP's bizarre obsession and his unicorn stories presented as just links to YT feeds and of course his utter lack of expertise or experience in the field.

I think you summed up my own feelings about the OP quite succinctly above and wrote out loud what I was thinking.

On the contrary. The law suits are only just beginning, and will go on for decades.
Legacy media that used to be very hostile to TERFs have begun to report more objectively over the past two years. Even the New York Times and The Guardian are beginning to publish pieces that were unthinkable only five years ago. And while Americans still see this (as they see absolutely everything) through a Dem-vs-GOP prism, the 'affirmative care' model (with puberty blockers and cross-sex hormones for kids, and castration/double mastectomies for teens) are being rolled back by left-wing governments from the UK to much of continental Europe. Only Germany, always a late adapter, is moving in the opposite direction.

The USA will lag behind, as it always does in every progressive movement, but in today's connected world, not by as much as it used to. Of course, much of the heavy lifting in this regard will be done by women, especially lesbian women, and I am aware that JUB is mostly used by middle-aged gay men who don't know any women in women's prison, or women's sports, or women's shelters. After all, I first joined this forum as a horny young kid to see daddies. But the membership has stalled, it is still used by the same men who were in their thirties back then. It's a bit Facebookish now. So I'm not worried about so few people agreeing with me here. When I attend GC (that's gender critical BTW) events, I see women outnumbering men 3-t-1, and the 25-to-35yos are a clear plurality among both sexes, even though the leaders tend to be last century's feminists.

As one columnist put it recently, the practice of transgendering minors "may well finally grind to a halt when the financial risk of drugging and operating on mentally unwell people becomes too high, and insurance companies in the US refuse to cover treatments."

I've said it before and I'll say it again: the direction of travel is set.

Andrew Sullivan recently did an interview with a trans woman who is against medical interventions on children who have not experienced puberty who points out that it is doubtful they will ever experience an orgasm if puberty is blocked. She asks the question: if they don't know what an orgasm is, can they give "informed" consent to deny themselves the future experience?

This is something that the trans lobby and their supporters do not address. Would those defenders of prescribing puberty-blocking drugs forego experiencing orgasms themselves? I doubt it.

puberty blockers don't do that, talk about pulling problems out of your ass.

Let them go.

Engaging is a waste of time and effort. No one is reading their shit on JUB. They don't understand the science...they just somehow glommed onto JK Rowling as the author of Harry Potter and haven't been able to let her go.

From the NIH, which has had a positive attitude regarding so-called gender-affirming treatment for minors:

"Puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and genital surgery also pose risks to sexual function, particularly the physiological capacity for arousal and orgasm."

Did either of you men have an orgasm before puberty?

I recommend reading the transcript of Andrew's interview with Brianna Wu, a transsexual woman.

The issue is not what an adult chooses to do with his or her body, but allowing or even encouraging a child to make life-altering decisions. Read what Wu--a transexual herself--has to say on the matter.

Second is "Switzerland's most famous trans woman" according to this article.
I'll ask my relatives there about her when I see them later this month, but the point is that she is detransitioning after over 25 years.
25 YEARS!

Are we to assume from this animated cartoon that you've come down from your high horse and now understand that there are dangers to so-called "gender affirming" (a euphemism if there ever was one) drugs and surgeries for children--and in fact for anyone?

No.

Just that this horse is dead and yet keeps getting beaten.
