I have abstained for a month a time or two because I felt like I had over indulged. When I find that nothing seems to turn me on I give it a rest. That being said I have read of Drs. in the 19th century blaming masturbation for being mentally challenged, club feet, epilepsy and other problems. Had they been honest with themselves they would have had to wonder why they didn't have these afflictions.
