Obama did take a while to come around. If there's anything I can take away from this other than raw emotion, it's that gay politics haven't changed all that much in the odd-years since Larry Kramer decided to pen this play.

I totally disagree with you, President Obama has done more for LGBT equality than any other President in history. Judges are knocking down bans on gay marriages all across America the president just signed an executive order of non discrimination for LGBT Americans . We've changed a hell of alot. We will NEVER elect another anti gay President ever again in this country all because President Obama came out during his first term for marriage equality.

watch and thoroughly enjoyed this movie hard to find good gay themed related movies every now and then I curl up to watch Shelter, or Broken Hearts Club have a poof on the couch day

The Normal Heart wins? Emmys tomorrow night.

For those who missed it, The Normal Heart will be on DVD soon. :=D:

Not to be left out is the magnificent rendition of "The Man I Love" by the Gay Mans Chorus which was spectacular

^^ That video has already been posted directly above, did you not see it or something?

I thought "The Normal Heart" was a great movie. I saw it went they first aired it on HBO. Excellent acting performances from everyone that was in the movie.

Pokin Around: Recalling an arson and 'The Normal Heart'

Twenty-five years later it remains a mystery as to who set a residential arson that in the eyes of the public will forever be linked to the controversial play "The Normal Heart."

The deadline has long passed for bringing anyone to justice. No one was hurt, although two cats were killed.

The house at 1928 E. Monroe Terrace was torched Nov. 15, 1989. It still stands.

Someone used an accelerant to set the fire on the opening night of the play. The small house was rented by Bradley H. Evans, then 22, a student leader of a group that supported the university's controversial production of "The Normal Heart."

Evans was not home. He was at a candlelight vigil for those who had died of AIDS.

Kinda makes you want to go and turn Ronald Reagan over in his grave. The performances are just terrific, and yes to Matt Bomer.

So glad Matt won yet another well deserved award.

That guy from Jax's head is probably exploding a bit with each win. Lol
