baseball is boring cant wait for football season

With all due respect a comment like that only means you may not know or perhaps understand the game.
Due yourself a favor and try and learn more about the great American pastime
There is a lot more to the game than you may realise ;)

i unserdstand the game of basbeall perfectly..its tooo slow...football and basketball are so much ore exiciting. also the fact tht there are so many games makes one game not so meaningful. football every game is so critical becasue there are only 16 games. bottom line is too many games and the games are too slow. im not saing i dont like baseball but definetly prefer basketball and footbal over it.

GO PHILLIES GO

Beat those Cards

 Boys

^ Where in the hell have you been? :grrr:

and pfffffffffftillies....

Failure is what the O's specialize in. Fortunately, I'm old enough to remember when we won a title (Confirming my oldness).

Only the Met's can compare in incompetence. :D

Sorry Met fans, but the Yanks own this town until further notice.

Poor Scrub. It will never happen again. The Mets will probably win before the Phillies ever get another chance

 :grrr:

Hey, did you really need to post that

I have a Albert Pujolis story to share.
In a game against the Phillies a few days ago Albert hit a ball that went into the crowd and hit a kid. When Al got back to the dugout and heard this he went out to the stands found the kid to comforted him and give him a signed bat He also gave the kid a phone number and said if you need anything you call me. Albert got a standing ovation from the Phillie fans.
I don't know if I have all the facts right here perhaps Abs knows more of what else amy have happened
It just goes to show that Big Al is not only the best player in the game today but one off the sweetest and kindest as well

The Phillies kicked the Cards assess this series.

 ABS don't ban me

Hmm...I wouldn't say you kicked our asses, I would say that we played like shit and you won three outta four ;)

Ugh. The game Wainwright pitched took a year off me I think...

And sonny, I hadn't heard that story. I'll keep an eye out for an article if I spot one :D

Loss to the Pirates, two to nothing.

Really.

Really?!?

The sad thing is that the Mets may well not only have to contend with the Phillies, but the Nats and Braves and Marlins too...the Mets may be as close to last place as finishing second,it's anybody's division...and that could mesn the wild card!

Congrats to that hunk Tim Wakefield, even though they lost...again

As if Mets fans did not have enough reasons to hate the Phillies comes this.
Remember that terrible start Johan Santana had in Philadelphia? Johan thought maybe he was “tipping pitches”, and therefore letting the Phillies hitters know exactly what was coming?
Well, maybe the Phillies DID know what pitch was coming, but not because Johan was tipping it — rather, because the Phils’ bullpen coach was stealing signs from the catcher and relaying them to his hitters.
Yup Phillies coach Mick Billmeyer was caught red handed with binoculars during that game.
I should mention that the Rockies have also complained to MLB about the Phillies stealing signs.
So far MLB has done little to reprimand the Phillies, other than a slap on the wrist.
If the Phillies hitters know what’s coming, it certainly can make their job a little easier — particularly against a pitcher who has good command and is hitting the spots that are called. The MLB Commissioner’s Office told the Phillies on Tuesday they could no longer use binoculars during games, however they also said tapes revealed nothing was revealed to suggest the team has been cheating. Phillies assistant GM Scott Proefrock told MLB.com the situation has been addressed and it won’t happen again.
Nevertheless, Phillies manager Charlie (grumpy old man) Manuel denied the accusations
Maybe the sign-stealing has done little to help the Phillies hitters. But it sure would help explain the worst outing of Johan Santana’s career.

How pathetic are those phiilies

Where are the Cardinals of April??? And Albert - while I love you and you are a god, take the wood out of your ass and SWING the bat. Your strike outs so far this season are incredibly uncharacteristic of you.

And on that note, Brendan Ryan, sit your ass on the bench and think about some shit before taking the field again.

The sweep by the disAstros still stings...

Yea Abs,I see the Cards have really been struggling this month...bad enough about Ryan, but what happened to Skippy? He's only batting around .220,missed some games. He all right?Anyway, you guys are hitting a shitload of potholes right now but should be okay.It could be MUCH worse....you could be a Mets fan and crying in a corner in a fetal position right now.Perez can't pitch in warm climates or cold temps so no more excuses, get him the hell out of the rotation and like sonny said in his Mets thread send him to AAA Buffalo and work himself into a semblance of a creditable imitation of a major league pitcher with the pitching coach there. He is a big time project now and the Mets cannot keep sending him out there anymore. He's all over the place and one of the most fundamentally deficient starting hurlers out there...his golden arm once was enough to get by with but he doesn't blow it by anyone that much anymore.

And now John Maine threw a stinker tonight in Florida. We get some offense finally and we get this. Our staters either suck,or our relievers blow the game,or our heart of the order is striking out like crazy and not doing anything with the ball when they put in in play,or are getting robbed by Roger Bernadina:cry:](*,)](*,)](*,)](*,)](*,)](*,)](*,)](*,)
