Happy for Dodgers fan they got new owners and can move on. I bet Walter O'Malley must have been rolling in his grave that his bum's were becoming such a joke.

Did anyone see the Red Sox/Rangers game last night. Mark Melancon gave up six runs, including three home runs without recording a single out. His ERA is now up to 49.50. OUCH!

Yanks come back from 9-0 against Boston to win the game 15-9..wow!

that game was awsome! I stopped watching when i thought the Yankees had no hope, but turned on again when they were killing the Soxs.

I feel bad for Bobby V...bc the Soxs are just plain terrible!

I don't feel bad for him at all. He ran his mouth and karma has caught up with him.

I would love for more to post here, so welcome aboard! I hope others from across the country start posting on this thread, bc i know the Dodgers are one of the most powerful, bigger fan bases of MLB, so please contribute as much as you can/want. Would love some West Coast love!

The Dodgers are doing great and i expect big things going forward, after a dark negative cloud hovering over Dodgertown last few years.

Kemp is the man! Great things from him going forward!

Stratospherically heralded Washington Nationals phenom Bryce Harper played in his first regular season MLB game
today as the Nats were nipped in ten innings 4-3 by the Dodgers.Steven Strassburg pitched very well for the Nats, one run, seven innings, had nine strikeouts. It's incredible how this similarly heralded player has come back so completely from Tommy John elbow surgery....a phenomenal entrance into the league,a devastating setback but now is back as good as ever, not missing a beat.Deserved a far better fate than a no decision due to poor relief efforts.Harper doubled in the then game leading run in his third at bat, looks like a major league stud veteran already.Hard to believe Bryce won't even be 20 til the fall...he looks and acts,at least on the field, more mature than his years.Whether his reputation for being snarky and colorful,a bad boy needing to grow up emotionally is fair or undeserved will eventually fall into place but but what's undeniable is the young man can flat out play.Washington baseball fans have never really known good times for more than a flash but hopefully with Harper,Strassburg and a very talented core of veterans and younger players the Nationals will create a far better destiny for themselves than the past Senator franchises.Except,of course, whenever they face the Mets!:p

Amar'e Stoudemire? What the hell were you thinking?Bashes his hand into a fire extinguisher after a 104-94 loss to the Miami Heat?
More passion than you showed not attacking the glass in the game,lol...at least Carmelo Anthony showed up with his game on.Miami didn't rely so much on Lebron James tonight, much more balanced effort led by Dywane Wade's 25 points.Knicks seriously in a hile down 2-0,and going home to the Garden on Thursday.Got to get better efforts from tyson Chandler and A'mare in particular if he can play after that stupid self inflicted hand injury. Not his shooting hand,at least Amar'e isn't a total idiot.Still it looks like this series may only go 5 games...I'm trying to give New York enough credit they can get one at home, but really this A'mare-Carmelo led club looks more and more like pretenders than a real threat to represent the East in the Finals.Let alone get out of the first round.

Mariano tore his ACL and is out for the year. I'm having a bad dream.

Just heard about it and really feel bad for Mariano and the Yankees. This was supposed to be his last season likely, and he has been so amazingly strong even past 40 in a position that few have been so dominant for so long.Almost never injured, and then seeing him grimacing in great pain on the ground it really seems unfair this will be our last memory of hs pitching career.I'm not a Yankee fan, really a passionate Mets fan but I admire great players and a great tradition like that of the Yankees.Mariano will be among the few closers in the Hall of Fame, but he's definitely Hall worthy.Wish though ,especially with the Yankees struggling so much this year,it didn't have to end this way.

Quite honestly,I thought last year was our best shot to win 28 that we will have for the next few years. THose long term contracts are really starting to hurt (the MEts know about those too) and I think a rebuilding will be taking place the next few years.

The Yanks will be fine....they may be cutting back on spending for 2014 but it will be better for them to lower their revenue sharing liability substantially in future years. It's important any players they do sign to long term extensions be balanced with more home grown options but by no means do I believe the Yanks are going to concede anything...they will always spend the money, invest a lot in their farm system, and wherever possible you know they'll get a big name here and there because of the history of the organization. It IS a concern though regarding long term contracts...going beyond five or six guaranteed years for position players or four years for a pitcher doesn't make sense for any organization, even one as seemingly awash in dollar bills as the Yanks.Suffice to say they probably will wind up keeping either Cano or Granderson.....I don't see them shelling out long extensions for Russell Martin who plays hard but gets hurt a lot,or Nick Swisher,a good player not worth what Scott Boras will portray him deserving.

Bleh Scott Boras..hearing the name makes me puke.

That monstrosity in CF is the most laughable part.

Hey Razor, your Nationals are looking sharp. i am still convinced they could go all the way this year!

Also, Hammels and the Phillies can suck it, their team blows the big one and pretty much all its players belong on social secrurity. What your thoughts on what they did to Harper and the awsome comments about the Nationals GM? I smell a new war!!

I view what Cole Hamels did as the act of a punk, not old school baseball. Bryce Harper did NOTHING to show up Hamels to deserve getting plunked. His five game suspension should have been 15 at the least.

The Nationals are tanking now. Can't even buy a win against the lowly Pirates. I knew this would happen. The offense is absolutely miserable, and the pitching couldn't keep up that kind of flawlessness.

I still have high hopes for them :)

I just hope the Phillies continue to play like shit. That team is so vile that a guy wearing a Mets uniform at Nationals Park on Sunday night got cheered, all because he had an "Everyone Hates Philly" sign.

I love the fact the Phillies are dead last!! They and their fans can suck a big one! There 15 mins of glory is over!! Did i say HOW MUCH I HATE THEM AND THEIR FANS!

There are going to be some interesting races this year. Already loving the expanded Wild Card. We could see the Blue Jays make their first postseason in quite some time.

This season has been quite interesting i must say. The Soxs and Phillies are dead last and sucking balls! My earlier post about the Twins, they are god awful!! The big 3 teams that dropped the cash during the offseason: 1. Angles are dead last 2. Marlins arent that good. 3. The Tigers, they are ok.
The Yankees, i dont know about them, i really wanted to give Robertson a big hug last night, i thought he was about to cry!

The Rays and Rangers are the teams for the American League to beat! I will say this, i know its early, but the Dodgers and the Nationals are the teams to beat for the National League.

One last thing, I have to give props to the Mets for sweaping the Phillies, first time since 2006!

I think the AL East is going to come down to the wire. The Rays have the pitching but without Evan Longoria, are missing a key bat in thier lineup. The O's...talk to me in about a month. I've seen them get off to hot starts before only to crash and burn every time. The Yanks...without Mo I just don't know.
Not shocked about the Red Sox at all, they've done nothing to improve themselves since the chokejob they pulled off last year.
As for the Nats and Phillies, pitching still is the key factor in winning championships but at some point..you have to be able to drive runs in.
