Re: Eurovision Song Contest 2012

Cyprus and Sweden are the best songs and performances this year i think

Re: Eurovision Song Contest 2012

I can't vote for my country's song, but if I could I would.. I think the song is catchy and the singer is hot as hell!

Norway: Tooji - Stay

I think we should make a thread about "hottest guys from ESC" in the celeb news & gossip section! But it's probably better to wait until more songs are picked.. few countries have picked their songs so far.

I think a lot of the songs this year are crap.. I don't know, nothing has really stood out.. I like Iceland, probably my #1.

Countries that are good but not great: France and Denmark

Countries with ok songs: Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Hungary

Crap songs: Ukraine, Belarus, Croatia, Albania, Israel (very weird, 60s flashback), Cyprus (honestly.. I know people like this song, but I find it SO ANNOYING with the "la la" parts)

Sorry but Denmark's entry seems like a rip-off of Eric Saade from last year. The guy, the song and the performance. But I still like it! (But Loreen is still the best!)

Re: Eurovision Song Contest 2012

OMG.. First of all.. it's not DENMARK, it's NORWAY.

And how the fuck is this a rip off? They both have up tempo dance songs, but the song in itself is fucking NOTHING like Popular from last year! I am so fucking sick and tired of people saying Norway is a rip off.. like a bad copy of Eric Saade. When did Saade invent up tempo dance songs? He didn't, huh? Oh.. so I guess it's not really a copy after all?

Sorry.. but I'll lose it if one more person says this is a rip off. You must be both blind and deaf to think that.. because they are nothing alike! The songs are so totally different. Ugh.. whatever. I guess there's no use in discussing this. People will be haters.

Re: Eurovision Song Contest 2012

So the Estonia and Lithuania guys were kinda cute. But those were probably the most noticable things about the 2nd semi.

Norway .. was quite ok, although the guy is somehow creepy. Malta was also ok. No real "wow" songs for me ..

Re: Eurovision Song Contest 2012

I have to watch Eurovision Song contest on the internet. The first night was was okay. Still waiting the second night video to be uploaded to Eurovision site to watch the entire show.
My favorites: Romania, Malta, Turkey, Germany, Norway and France.
The Russian grandmothers grow on you.
Favorite video is France.
Dance moves most likely Malta.
A bit biased since Kurt Calleja shares my birthday and Can Bonomo is a fellow Taurus.

Re: Eurovision Song Contest 2012

Whoever wins today, I think the real winners are Kurt and Can. They have become great friends. I see possible collaboration between the two. It would be cool if more would develop between them.

Re: Eurovision Song Contest 2012

I don't hate Jedward. I know we're all supposed to but they have such energy and they're alot of fun. In many ways they represent what Eurovision is all about.

I do love the old Russian ladies though. They were adorable. I really do hope they win. It was awesome seeing Alexander Rybak again!

Re: Eurovision Song Contest 2012

What was wrong with Italy?

What did you say?

Re: Eurovision Song Contest 2012

It's a shame Russia didn't win it. They were so lovable.

And now for the compulsory hotness contest. I reckon Roman Lob was the hottest. He had one of the best songs too.

I've heard of this but I don't think they televise it in the USA---I don't know why--probably would get viewers.

Amazing! I love Eurovision! I can't wait for it. I've got the last five years of songs on my iphone!

Here is Germany's song.

Imho it sounds somewhat like last year's winner "Euphoria".

It would be genius if they would send her with a song good enough to win.

The Uk could easily take advantage of all the international stars it has but it's not enough to send a known person with just a average song. Even the Blue song was better than this and look what happened then.

Plenty of slow entries I've loved and wanted to win but it still needs to be catchy. This song just sounds "la la la" the whole time and nothing sticks with you.

P.s. I always thought Bonnie Tyler was American and dead #-o

British pop music is popular in many of the countries which give you few or none points in the contest so...

You have so much better to offer but the songs you send always sound like leftover songs which weren't picked for an album.

I just heard my neighbor play this couple of days ago lol

I think it was like one of the biggest hits here in the 90's.

P.s. I also wish Cascada would have a better song. Germany also wasting a singer with a average song.

I remember first seeing it spoofed on the Benny Hill Show back in the 70's... guess it's an institution of sorts in Europe, thought it was just a goofy sketch when I first saw it aired here in the US.
