I really like we need a resolution, and more than a woman. She was one of the few artists who could work extensively with timbaland and missy and not be overshadowed.

I loved "one in a million" when it came out so much! I use to wait by the TV to catch the video. I loved all her stuff. I use to listen to it all on repeat. I went through a "if your girl only knew" stage and than "rock the boat". She was a great talent and I was so upset when she died. I'm not a fan of Mariah, Whitney, Celin,Cher at all but i sure loved Aaliyah!

You know what? I'd never have even thought of that before you mentioned it. My perception is a bit too biased to see that but you're absolutely right.
At the same time though thats one of the reasons I like it, It showed versatility and delving into unknown territory for Aaliyah, she's never really been a "big song" singer... T'was a shame when she passed on. Truth be told, I thought we never really got to see the best of her... Her last album was fresh and showed signs of someone who has just found her sound... We need a resolution, to this day, can kick the arse of whats out there at the mo...
BTW Im a writer so giving me a keyboard is like givin a nymphpmaniac unlimited sessions with a prostitute...

i absolutely love We Need a Resolution and i was just noticing how much she matured in her videos, like if you watch the age aint nothin but a number video and then watch the we need a resolution video it just seems like she was really on her way to bigger and better things.
